Wey you can tell the bass will be crap, they're missing all of the sub bass. I mean headphones aren't the best for mixing low end anyway (you tend to feel bass more than hear it and plus they can only emulate the acoustics of a room), but sometimes necessity means you mix with them and a good engineer will know their own personally so compensate the sound accordingly (I know my Roland RH-300s like the back of my hand, their shortcomings and their good points). Knowing your headphones just means you can still make a mix that will sound decent out of a club soundsystem, stereo speakers, car speakers (great place to judge your mixes) but you may as well give yourself the best possible start and buy a decent pair with a frequency response as large as possible! I just can't see anyone who knows anything about music tech ever buying a pair of dr dre's ****e tbh, I mean I've certainly never seen them advertised at the music tech expos and shops I've been into (including Production Rooms in Leeds, who are one of the biggest online retailers but have an amazing synth filled warehouse shop as well). I'm a recent Music tech graduate, so wouldn't touch earphones with a bargepole knowing the damage they do and the crap tinny drivers pushing out a tiny frequency response so aye closed back headphones are the only things I'll use when I'm listening on the go!
I condone a wide variety of sauces, so long as they don't taste of the three aforementioned spices/flavours.
A couple of Tech mags/forums reviewed them, as did some hifi mags and they got slated like, not as much as I'd have thought though.
Redeemed haha. Sorry for the Spanish inquisition just it's been a recent topic of my friends. A bouncer at the bar my mate works at won't have any kind of sauce on anything except tomato sauce, sparked a whole spice & sauce debate!
Aye I'd seen some of the reviews and some of them definitely looked like a some money had exchanged hands... That's a good thing for this message of hate thread: Companies paying magazines/websites for favourable reviews is definitely on the list. Really annoying when you see a product/video game/anything really recommended on a site or in a magazine only to get home and use the bloody thing and it's a pile of ****!
argh ... the spice / sauce debate !! can you like and hate something at the same time? yep, tom yam soup - love the taste - hate the way it shoots my eyeballs to the corners of my eyes
Indeed you can like and hate stuff, love superhot chillis like the naga jolokia & naga viper but hate the way it rapes you on the way out! Another one for this thread, has anyone seen that new advert with the song, "I wanna buy your house, I wanna, I wanna buy your house, riiiiighhhht noowwwww." Musically it doesn't resolve and it's so frustrating! Arghhhh!!!
I don't mind tomato sauce, but it would be the last sauce I go to. I have a whole cupboard in my kitchen dedicated to condiments on one level and then spices on the next! I'm a firm believer in flavour, mainly use the condiments to cook with rather than coat cooked food in them as an afterthought though (unless it was the likes of chips).
please log in to view this image this veg really pisses me off i had it once (first time) and it was nice then for some reason everytime i've had it it's been vile, even cooking it the same way and everytime i say enough no more.then i'll say go on i'll give it another go only for it to taste **** again .....DAMN YOU you horrible veg that looks like a pile
Only with fish imho. Otherwise it's generally chip spice and then maybe some hot sauce (one of the thicker kinds) or bbq for me. Found that annoying ad:
