The Mirror got loads of things right with us when Alan Nixon worked there, he now works for the Sun and I believe they broke the N'Doye story if my memory serves me correctly
Yeah I think you're right! I might be getting my wires crossed but wasn't Nixon Hitch's source for insider info?
Also if Bruce left before or in summer (for the Newcastle job as he said he'd see the job out here (staying up) before he'd consider leaving) i'd go for Steve Mclaren instead. Still has links the the area and is doing a decent job at Derby and probably deserve a crack at the PL again (if he doesn't take derby up). Bit of a wolly at times and the media pick on him a bit but a decent manager.
Big IF, but I agree. If we were to go for someone other than SB then McLaren would be up there, but for me I'd take Nigel Clough although I assume Phrlan would get the job. Hopefully though we don't have to worry about any of this.
i think it will be more likely that Bruce will resign before the Allams give him the bullet . Bruce has backed Allam every step of the way without a hint of a grump - i imagine that is very important to Assam Allam
I think I read someone mention Nigel Adkins name on another thread recently. If the worse case scenario happened and we was to be relegated we could do much worse then Adkins imho. Hope Bruce stays though regardless of where we end up.
Yes we did, he signed the contract last week and began work on Monday morning so he was employed by us before the little announcement was made. Do try to keep up, unless you actually believe that he didn't sign his contract and begin work until the announcement was made?
Steve Bruce has got the full support of the Allams. He'll be here next season. Its like some of you ****s are hoping we get beat every game.
I'm happy to stand corrected, I wasn't aware he'd signed a contract last week, it all sounded a bit like 'the cheque's in the post'. Wonder why they delayed the announcement?
