I stopped taking notice of keown when he said "Elmo was an underrated right back" during the fa cup tie with arsenal
Anyone see him after L'pool got their second? Instead of being on his feet encouraging his players he was slumped in his chair, arms folded, looking like he'd just lost his wallet. He can f**k right off for me...
HDMsport @HDMsport Speculation linking Bolton boss Neil Lennon with Hull City role in national press completely untrue, according to Tigers sources #hcafc There's a surprise.
I cant believe they actually asked the club. What did they expect? "Yeah, the reports are true. I mean, we havent actually sacked our existing manager yet but we're planning on telling him by 11am and then having Lennon in for the Thursday presser."
Bruce hasn't even had the vote of confidence yet, it's far too early for speculation. Although id be very surprised if we weren't already looking at contingencies.
Too late now, if Allam wanted rid he'd surely have done that before the window. Hopefully no need either with a new striker and Phelan to whip the troops into shape, re-assess at the end of the season. Still lots of points to play for.
A football savvy woulda got rid by now in panic. Our owner isn't that type. Thank fook. Bruce is still the best man for the job.
This story is obviously bollocks, but if we lose against Villa and QPR, I expect Bruce will be sacked.
Arry's dummy spit really is bad timing for us. They expect a new manager in for his first game against us and it has all the hallmarks of Palace* and WBA after Pulis took over. *I know Pulis didnt pick the team for Palace but he was publicly in the stands and the players wouldve wanted to impress him, plus he was getting messages down to the bench throughout.
Even a heavy defeat by Man City and results going against him could see him out if we don't get anything against Villa. I suspect us being bottom is going to force their hand more than the way the players are performing at present.
All of a sudden Happy doesn't think change is a good thing and progress - Happy is a Luddite who lives in the past
When I read this article, I couldn't believe it. Why would a club who had allowed a manager to have his choice of a new assistant immediately turn round and sack him?? Surprised at Darren Lewis, as a journalist at such a mainstream newspaper, you would expect him to do more basic research before coming out with this kind of rubbish.
The only contingency plan I can see is if SB walks. With that in mind I expect Phelan to step up & take over. He left Norwich because he wasn't given the job apparently.
