I found out about it a few years ago and have never had a kebab or any other indian/pakistani food since.

If any religion needs a special diet they should pay to import it if it`s against our animal cruelty laws. What annoys me as much anything is that the RSPCA say and do nothing.

The sooner all meat packaging is clearly marked the sooner we have the option to avoid it. It should never be served in schools by default.

Local butcher for me from now on - supermarket meat is pish anyway, the conning bastards pump it full of watter.

Indian restaurants ran by Hindus will not use Halal or similar methods as far as I know. It is my opinion that any restaurant or shop who are selling halal meat products should advertise the fact and label it accordingly if necessary...

Always use local butchers since I found out. I`ve noticed some of them now are starting to advertise `non halal` on their windows. Even if they don`t at least I can ask. It`s not knowing that`s the sneaky bit.

Nando's is ****ing puke on a plate, I make a point of making sure I ask for free range or organic chicken wherever I eat, if they don't have it then I either eat elsewhere or eat vegetarian.

Kosher meat is supposed to be killed the same as Halal, but that's where the comparison ends. The quality of the meat is worlds apart.
