Calm Down Dear, it's only an opinion! It may not be your's and not unnecessarily vilifying the bloke but the last time I Iooked this site was for all opinions not just your's? Looking at your general level of postingg, I am sure you will let me know if you think otherwise? He was one best one of the best England players for many years. Was in the 90 and 96 England teams (along with Gazza and Platt). He had the nuts to take the penalty against Spain after missing in 90. Slag him off for being a poor manager by all means but he deserves his due as an England servant and a nice guy (a very rare thing in modern football).
When you're losing an argument: 1. Correct their spelling 2. If spelling is correct or if it isn't over the internet, correct their grammar. 3. And if all else fails, yell 'AVADA KEDAVRA!' and run away. I await stages 2 & 3.
For me there wasn't an argument, he mentioned my level of posts so I mentioned his level of speling. Now should I wish I'll argue but I really cannot be bothered. He was waiting for my response about whats his face, I didn't give one so there was no argument to lose. Yes I know, I missed out an 'L' in spelling.
Doh! You're to clever for me with your speling and your failure to be bothered. If you'd called me a racist I could have at least given you points for coming from left field rather than out of your superhero backside.
thor...that last post was worthy of the goon board. chill a bit mate...if he's irritating you don't answer. for what its worth I agree with you re psycho...over rated as a player and a manager imho opinion...he had a decent shot and grimaced a lot...other than that he was bog standard at best
Ok PNP, colin but mostly I do enjoy a good argument but he insulted my level of posts which I suppose I should be flattered because it means he's reading them. So we are agreed that Pearce is a prat.
RememberColinLee, Yes, I see your opinion. In response to you pointing out his grimacing I would point out he was a very good international player as per the following. Not as interesting as grimacing or as qualitative but you could take it on board? I thought not! Pearce had intended to retire from international football after Euro 96, but new national coach Glenn Hoddle persuaded him to change his mind and he continued his international career for a few more seasons. He was not selected for the 1998 World Cup, but the appointment of Kevin Keegan to the England job and Pearce's form for West Ham prompted a recall for the 37-year-old for two qualifying games for Euro 2000. Pearce's broken leg later put paid to further international chances and he ended his international career in 1999 with 78 caps, which for a time put him in the all-time top ten appearance makers for England. His last appearance for England was in a goalless draw in Poland on 8 September 1999 in the Euro 2000 qualifiers. His last goal had come on 8 September 1993 (when he was playing outside the top flight at club level following Nottingham Forest's relegation) in a 3–0 World Cup qualifier win over Poland.[20] At 37 years and 137 days, he was the third-oldest outfield player ever to appear for England (only Stanley Matthews and Leslie Compton, plus five goalkeepers, have been older).
Crap as a coach though which was the original point. Anyway colin he's addressing you now but if he's irking you just ignore him. He seems to know a hell of a lot of personal details about Pearce so perhaps you shouldn't have deleted my post.
Here's my original post.... Now then, there's nothing wrong with Punk Rock. Stuart comes from my part of London and is a good fella. Occasionally seen at gigs and always a sweetheart (as are all punks really). Not so long ago he was in the England team and still at gigs with no "Don't you know who I am?" nonsense. When he was starting out his career at Cov, and Forest he used to advertise his services as an electrician in the programme. Always saw him as similar to Graham Roberts and unfortunately neither were much in the management stakes. Nice bloke though. I thought I'd point out that although this was true there are other sides to him and that Punk Rock is a music of choice for some of us. The idea being that this site can be for whimsical chat on a Sunday Evening. However. it seems it is much better to see him as a one dimensional, useless footballer and manager or you are sexually linked to him. I'd heard that this was the case on this site from a supporter of another club but that the Spurs' board was generally slightly above that. It seems not today!
Talking of Stanley Matthews, he would have been 100 yesterday. First English Footballer of the Year and first Ballon d'Or winner.
I thought it was you who deleted it, oh never mind. My original point was that Pearce should quit football because he's wandering aimlessly from one job to another and not doing very well so I don't know what or where would be a suitable role for him. Talking of piskie I haven't seen him around recently.
