He same Bertrand that got sent off yesterday? Ive not seen loads of Carroll but he reminds me of an Allen/Cleverly type midfielder. Not a massive attacking threat and not brilliant defensively. He's need to be part of a 3 man midfield with a defensive and attacking mid either side so he can be the possession player in the middle.
Yes and rightly so it was a bad challenge. Imo Carroll is actuall very good defensivley and in attack, technically he's also good and his passing is spot on.
Yep, Kane looks a very good player. Not just a flash in the pan one season wonder like so many others IMO, he looks to be the real deal to me. I know its been said to death but he really does look and play like a young Alan Shearer, if he has half a good a career as the Geordie he'll be great.
Well, I did say (and quote myself) on Eriksen for quite a while. crazy that clubs weren't more interested in him really.
Think a few people were saying that we should go for him. Like I say gutted we didn't, especially for the price.
It sounds strange but I was more gutted at the time than I am now despite him playing better now. Mainly because Coutinho is getting better and better and it would be very difficult to get him, Eriksen and Stelring in the same side. Of course, its a squad game too so it would have given us some great options.
Just needs to add goals to his assets. Again this will sound strange but he needs to stop trying so hard to add those goals too, he wastes too many chances for me. He should also realise he needs to shoot two or three yards further to the right, he drags all his shots to the left of the goal
