Diego Costa has had his appeal turned down and will be banned for Chelsea's games against City, Villa and Everton. Gary Neville and Thierry Henry both tweeted yesterday that he should get off, which shows what happens when you play in teams that consistently cheat and get away with it.
Given recent results, it’s fair to say we’re reasonably likely to win or lose to anyone. Now we’ve got an absolutely brutal month leading up to the Cup final. West Brom away, Arsenal at home, Liverpool away is certainly something to consider, since West Brom and Liverpool have already beaten us. On the other hand, we’ve played better against better teams all year. I think I would write off Fiorentina at this point. The chances of winning the Europa are so small that I would rest our first team through both legs and hope for the best from the reserves. Then, I think, the schedule becomes somewhat manageable, and we would get a fair sample of how the team is progressing, or failing to. Otherwise we’re almost certain to see a number of weary performances, as we saw last month, I thought.
Just heard.....it will cost American companies 4.5 million dollars for a 30 second commercial during their stupid bowl.(I can't stand that game,or basketball come to think of it!) Wonder how much they charge for a British Cup Final commercial?

Pudil's challenge makes me feel ill. A real leg breaker. Well done Eddie Howe and Bournemouth. A potential great manager and a potential PL club.
Yeah he must've realised he wasn't getting the ball too. First time I've seen Gomes in awhile, might've done a bit better with the second but he made some good saves. Button's been getting a lot of praise with Brentford lately, did you see much of him at Spurs? Anyway, it's brilliantly poised at the top of the Championship at the moment though, a really open top 8.
Cabella has put the Toon 1 up away to Hull. He's been shredding the Hull defence so far so he deserves it. Great feet even though he's not the quickest. Of the ex-Spurs, Hudd and Livermore are getting a little overrun in midfield while Dawson has looked reasonably solid at the back, especially in the air.
Hull think they've equalised, but the goal's chalked off for a handball by Elmohamady. Michael Owen calls it "blatant cheating", which presumably separates it from all of the other cheating which he's always condoning. Awful commentator. Bruce always seems to start well at clubs and then gradually gets worse and worse over a season or two. Not sure he's got any idea how to run a team in the long run.
Up yours Lawro heee heee heee. Now, is the Pardew effect already wearing off at Palace? They were flying whereas Everton were grounded and a 0-1 is the result. We'll see what happens to Palace now. For me Pardew should be in the Championship. West Ham losing I feel means that their season is over and that we'll win at WHL.
"What could possibly be going through Frank Lampard’s mind?" the commentator asks in the 67th minute. "It’s Fat Frank time!" would be my guess.
