MAN ‘SORRY’ FOR CLUB INCIDENT
Last updated at 11:43, Thursday, 29 January 2015
CLUBBERS were left shocked and disgusted after a man dropped his trousers and defecated on a dance floor.
The man was in Bubbles, Tangier Street, on Saturday night when the incident happened.
The 36-year-old, said to be the worse for drink, has publicly apologised on social media.
Nightclub owners have decided not to press charges.
In a public apology made on his Facebook profile page the Whitehaven man said “a vindaloo curry and too many pints” were to blame for his behaviour.
Angela Walker, co-director of the club, said: “We are not pressing charges as a public apology has been given and compensation to the person who had to clean up the mess has been sorted.”
A donation to the door staff has also been received.
Although the man was named in a national newspaper and on social media The Whitehaven News, who is aware of the culprit’s identity, has chosen to leave his name out in the interests of propriety.
