I think they can extend it if they think it's a frivolous appeal. But probably only a game. So, in short, just wishful thinking.
3 is the standard for violent conduct - which this definitely was. In the past they have added a game on for a frivolous appeal, and frankly this is surely that. The only doubt is whether he did it once or twice.
Surely it should be 6 if he did it twice. That's how the law works right? You don't get away with a 2nd murder just because you're being punished for the first.
He has only been charged for one offence though, so, if he is found guilty it will be for 3 games plus one if it is deemed a frivolous appeal
I know that, but is there a reason he hasn't been charged for both? Did they declare the Skrtel one an accident? I thought the ref said he saw neither so surely both are fair game
Anyone who has ever left the ground knows you can still choose where to land your feet. Your legs move for a reason people
Why is anyone expecting the F.A. to be consistent except when it's consistently ignoring violent conduct against our players.
I think that's what will undermine the FA's case too. Both cases were very similar, he's choosing not to look right at the player and just putting putting his foot down where he knows the other player will be. There's also the Cahill one on Kane which again was the samething and deemed accidental by the ref. Personally I hope he doesn't get banned. Fabregas and Matic are on 7 bookings, Costa's on 8 so I think there's a good chance at least one will get a 2 game ban by the time our game comes around, unless I've misunderstood the rules on bookings(they made it all complicatd and stupid recently).
I am pleased to inform those of you who have been concerned about Notso's absence from this board, that I have had a chat with him and he is alive and well. The contents of our chat shall remain private, but the most important thing is he is okay.
Could you tell him that the mods are happy to discuss any problem that he might have with the board next time you see him, please? Shame to lose a popular regular if it can be avoided.
I didn't realise that he had any problems with the board - or if he did, that they would prevent him posting. If that's all it is, I'm sure he'll be back.
I suspect PNP is just saying IF he had a problem with any of the posters. I don't recall any big rows with Notso involved.
Andy Murray's been back to form in the Australian Open. Let's hope he can beat Djokovic for a change. His girlfriend Kim Sears reportedly said: "Andy's got every f****** chance of f****** beating that f****** Serbian c***. Have it. You f****** want some?"
