Rumour 1: Reds line up £63m swoop for Lacazette and Benzema (40m Benzema and £23m Lacazette?). If both brought then one of Lambert/Borini/Baloteli will go. Cant see us spending that kind of money in Jan window. Rumour 2: Reds interested in Mauro Icardi, along with Chelsea and A.Madrid. Heard good things about him but having a good season and can't see Inter selling him. Rumour 3: Reds interested in Bojan after impressive first half of the season for Stoke. Would prob be wanting about £15m for him but don't think he's the player we need. He's another attacking midfielder/wide forward who'd be competing with Coutinho/Sterling etc.
4 goals in 16 games, its alright but wouldn't call it impressive. I always thought he was supposed to be a striker, have they altered that view cause he isn't prolific enough? Not what we need anyway, would just be another creative player who doesn't score enough goals
His performances have been impressive. He's not the main source of goals for their team, he's more the creator/playmaker. He has 4 goals and 2 assists in 16 league games in his first season in Prem for Stoke. Sterling has 4 goals and 5 assists in 21 league games for us....
Bojan's another Berahinho; the typical player we'd go for and pay a hugely inflated fee for. Please no. No chance of the rumours anyway tbh. We've got no money unless we sell.
the best signing we could make at the moment is getting Sterling to sign his ****ing contract extension. These talks have been going on a very long time, it's slightly worrying. even more worrying than GJ being offered an extension
Bogdan is where he is for good reason... The ironic thing was if we'd actually fired more than one at him that was a good save i'd not mind but basically aside form lallanas hit (which btw was perfect height to save) all our efforts were tame enough.
nah nah nah... c'mon lads.. one outstanding save the rest just earned a pay cheque. you knwo full well he's stuck in bolton for a reason
Great, sell him now he is not that good... he could easily vanish into nowhere under a mourinho or even at city let alone go foreign. the fact is the boy is thinking he can get more elsewhere but his career is fragile at this point. At 20 he's done a lot but he's not actually done that much either compared to a real top player like hazard. He can play first team here for 2 more years then move or be sold now, potentially not play and end up like SWP the player most like to compare him to! really that simple. The money now, or the potential for a free transfer in 2 years is not going to get him all that far when a 4 year deal now isn't worth the paper its written on and he'll be far more ready for said free by then... with football under his belt. I mean it........ no signature by may he is sold end of. no questions, no debate in my mind.
Sterling is a good prospect, but about 70% of his game is pace, it really is. If we can hold on for a few more years then great, but I think, sadly, by 25 his legs will be gone
