The committee that Mr Clever sits on and almost certainly holds the power of veto. Massive blob from Rodgers
Mario needs that treatment. He's so stuck up his own arse that he's 'potentially world class' that it hampers any effort and encourages him to go for worldies. Granted he's improved some what during his time here and does actually run around, but his pressing is nowhere near as effective as when Sturridge is in the forward line. The stats might say he runs, but evidently it's not as useful because we don't seem to win it back much when he's up there. He does, however, care greatly about his image. Lambasting him in public might well buck up his ideas - although it'll also reduce his value too. We just need to get rid tbh. But that would mean we have to either lose numbers from the midfield or defense - which would take us right back to where we started the season. **** Mario, play Sturridge in a three with Coutinho and Sterling.
It is patently obvious that any set of players can work if they all work to a system they all contribute to It's also patently obvious that putting any 11 out there with balotelli in it and expecting a high press and intensity is never going to happen
Unfortunately it won't stop us from signing him, just means we'll end up paying even more for him now.
If only Sterling would. If he does not sign this season we will have to sell him in the Summer to get good money or he will do a Macca and just run his contract down and walk
It's self defeating by the boy cos any professional club will let him be now til we are in May then call him in and say push off and frankly the game he's got he might fetch 30 mil but he could easily vanish in a really big club cod frankly he makes too many basic bad decisions For me if we are offering a fair deal if.... Then if he won't sign **** off
Still no as I don't count them now lol I wanted Lavezzi before we signed Lallana and Marko. Sterling and Coutinho have both too plus Ibe as just returned. We are pretty covered for creative attacking wide/deep players. We need players that can put the ball in the net. I think we should go for Tevez. He's getting on now but he's out of contract in the summer, he has energy, desire, passion, drive, plus he able to score and create chances too. He's basically a poor man's older Suarez.
Very surprised at that one, I thought he was nailed on to move. Good player, I'd have him at Goodison
Strikes me of a, sign a new contract and if a team comes in and offers £10m for you then you are free to go talk to them. We'll probably be that team eveyone needs to to take a step back at Balotelli. He's played the same way for the last 5 yeas... Don't moan at him for being a striker that doesn't chase down defenders. You wouldn't sign Shearer and then ask him to go closing down the full backs as it's not their natural game. Blame Rodges for signing a player that is far removed from the type of striker he wanted, and to then go moan that he isn't pressing players like he should be is idiotic. I like Rodgers but we all knew Balotelli wasn't going to be that striker so unless you adapt your game to bring out the best of him, he's a pointless signing.
Yeah I would... Shearer was a bril worker and channel runner Great player before injuries and retirement the day he signed for newkie I do agree balotelli was a waste of time. I mean ok had borini ****ed off in effect you got badontelly for same few more or less and rumoured similar wages pre bonuses.... But it really has been utterly pointless But... Rodgers is a bit scared to change anything so I really do t know that a 343 with balotelli closely supported by the lines of coutinho and sterling would be awful.... I suspect coutinho would not work hard at all though so I can see the risk
Marc Andre ter Stegen to Liverpool on loan til the end of the season. Sunday Telegraph. At least its not from one of the usual bullshit mongers. Ter Stegen has grown disillusioned at not being able to dislodge Claudio Bravo from between the Barca sticks. Personally I dont want this deal unless it comes with an option to buy. Theres no point signing a keeper , who will take some games to find his feet , then lose him 5 months later and have to go sign another keeper or put Mignolet back in again.
He was highly thought of before he went to Barca. I can't see them selling him in the summer though unless they have someone in line to replace him from within. The have the transfer ban so wouldn't go into next season with only 1 first team keeper.
