Noticed that the players have the squad numbers on there training kit this year from the photo's on safc

    if anyones interested

    from the new signings

    Gardner is 11
    Westwood 20

doesn't look like any of the other new boys aswell as quite a few of the squad were not in today, wonder with it being the start of the season with all the fitness work going on the squad will be split into a couple of groups

    and current players

    Colback to 14
    Tounkara to 21

I hope Sess gets 10, the most 'flair' player in a side should always have 10.

    Kieran and then Jordan? Pah.

Sess should inherit Bolo's number 7
    Wickham - 10
    Gardner - 16 from Riveros
    Then N'zogbia can have 11 :)

I'm never keen on a striker having 10, i think maybe give Whickham 9, as if Frazer is out all season, he won't need it.

Are the training kits the same numbers as the final squad numbers? I've got a feeling they're different. I'd like to see Sess 10. Do people think Gyan will go to 3?

usually they have any old number on there training kits but this year it looks like they have there squad number as Bardsley, Richardson, Cattermole, Malbranque, Cook, Meyler and Bramble all had there squad numbers from last year on there kits.

Exactly right Poolie - players were any old number for training gear. I saw an interview with Ryan Giggs earlier last season and his training top was number 34 (not sure why when his whole career he has been number 11). The squad numbers are worked out later on when we'll get most of our deals concluded.
