Although it is not known where the player was jetting off to, his team are far from high flying as they languish in the bottom of the league after a crumbling 3-0 defeat at West Ham on Sunday.

A simple bit of research and they would of found out where going to a training camp in Portugal.

Before I opened that article earlier today in the Yorkshire Post (when the title of the link didn't mention the players name) I said That HAS to be Elmo, bless him!!

Hull footballer books taxi to pick up wallet

A Premier League footballer hired a taxi to transport his missing wallet home after it was handed into cops hours before jetting off to a mystery location.

Hull City’s Egyptian winger Ahmed Elmohamady sparked a panic-stricken search when the wallet containing his travel visa disappeared the day before he was due to fly.

So the ob just hand over someone's wallet, containing travel visas, to a random bloke/lass, claiming to be a taxi driver that was hired to courier it to the rightful owner.

Some first class policing there.

Yeah, because there's always strangers walking into police stations on the off chance there might be a wallet with travel visas in it to pick up.

Three things, first of all the origional link to The Yorksire Post comes up with the story and a what do you think to the Yorkshire Post. Well if that the best your journalist can do, its ****.
Second " read full story" link to wearehull.com has even less than the Yorkshire Post.
Finally what sort of travel visa? most visa's are stamped or stuck into your passport. Travelled allover and only when i was in Russia in the 90's did i have a separate paper visa, and it had to kept with my passport anyway.

So there's no procedure to follow for these things?

Might just walk in asking for John smith's wallet.

One day I'll hit the jackpot.

And Egypt. Or it certainly used to issue a separate piece of paper.

Also don't forget Elmo will have an Egyptian passport, not a British one.

Elmo confirms its his wallet on the phone (by answering questions as to its contents), he hires a taxi, provides the car registration and driver number to the police, the taxi driver arrives at the station, provides his I.D and registration, the wallet gets returned.

Really not that hard is it?
