While this Bielik kids sounds good, I'm more excited that we may get a signing in before (or just after the cup game) which would be a nice change, instead of last minute of the window. That would hopefully allow us sometime to grab a last minute deal (such as Jenks for Reid or a DM) at the end of the window, without being too disappointed if it doesn't happen.

I still can't see how we're going to get around the Work Permit problem. Though as I said earlier, if we can get a main issue (two if you think the DM prob is sorted with Coq) sorted out way before the deadline then it'll be excellent!

I honestly thought Squillachi would be a good buy because at the time he was a French international with Champions League experience.

I've never heard Wenger being that open and direct about a proposed transfer! But it does look like things are progressing quite well - apparently the Villareal manager (soz name escapes me) has said they would like to keep him, but they'd understand where he's coming from, and if the clubs agree a price then he won't stand in Paulista's way. Also apparently he was voted best defender in the Brazilian league the year before he moved to Villareal. I hope he's good...
Wenger is actually learning...no more last minute bargain basket buys. Actually, who kidnapped Arsene and what have they done with him?
Mmmm sounds interesting but uncharacteristic for Wenger to be speaking so verbally about it. Not that I have any problems with it as it shows positive intent. All i'm worried about is the work permit, hopefully Wenger can charm the authorities into giving one...
