    Comparing Suso and Pogba? <laugh>

One was extremely highly rated and moved on a Bosman because he felt unloved.......and the other is Suso.

I also think Suso is not at LFC level.

Apparently United want to renegotiate his fee.

Falcao's poor fitness could loose Monaco a lot of money.

For all Van Brent's talk of players having to prove themselves it's obvious Falcao got left out of the squad more to avoid triggering any payment clauses

I've no idea but we will see I guess. Falcao is a risk with his injury so Utd could just be stretching it out for as long as possible to see really whats what over the period.

If they tkae the risk in the summer i'd say he waon't have got what 10 goals total? so who'd be in to compete with them for him... 43mil secure or... 30mil in a bidding war... who knows.

So The Times and Express reporting that Origi is likely to stay at Lille until the summer.

Happy with that as I feel it's money wasted.

We've 4 planks to use already. I hope the kid can find some form there

I think the owners simply have no faith in giving Rodgers/Committee any more money.

I expect Rodgers or the scouts to leave in the summer.

  11. I could have told you that before the window opened, never expected him to join and I think it would be wrong for us to take that move too. Only reason it would make any sense is because he seems to be struggling this season in France.

Liverpool to make £40m move for Real Madrid's Benzema: The Daily Express reports that Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema will be sold to Liverpool for £40m in the summer. Real want a deal to free up cash to land PSG's Edinson Cavani, while Benzema himself is supposedly happy to go: "The Frenchman is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League due to growing tensions between him and Real boss Carlo Ancelotti," the report reads.

Paper Round's view: Benzema has been hugely overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and James Rodrgiuez at Real Madrid of late, and after going four games without finding the net his numbers don't look good. But just as Alexis Sanchez has thrived since coming out of the shadow of Lionel Messi and Neymar at Barcelona, 27-year-old Benzema could make a similar impact away from the Bernabeu.

While I don't believe it, this story doesn't want to go away at the moment. Still smacks of no transfers this window though.

FFS why do the media make up rumours for next window when there's a window already open.

Rodgers was on TS this morning, saying it was unlikely you'll be doing any business in Jan.

He also said that you'd asked the question about Origi, but it was unlikely that he'll be arriving until the summer.

We probably didn't want to pay (the full price) for him to come early but asked about getting him early since he hasn't been so much in favour there

I expect the transfer committe, not scouts to leave. very shortly... not may. I expect it to be feb/march latest.

    For me
Dave Fallows and Barry Hunter have to be seriously at risk... and i think the stat man Michael Edwards will be singled out as the comolli holdover and dismissed immediately

I have wondered what our chief scout and network of scouts is actually like and found this http://www.thisisanfield.com/2013/06/liverpool-fc-scouts/

not sure if it was ever accurate and certainly if its still up to date

Julian Ward Portugal and Spain. thanks for finding aspas mate!

Steven Aptroot Holland and Belgium, I sturrgle to see hwo the f this guy hasn't brought more lads to anfield from holland where rates are quite good.

Fernando Troiani South America... ding stellar job obviously.

Mads Jørgensen Scandinavian scout. obviously busy too!

Mel Johnson head of southern England scouting, at least our academy has some players.

He's flagged that last month and flagged ibe coming back too so at least he's been consistent.

Call ibe and sturrdige new reinforcements rather than signings then....

And hope we can turn over chelsea tomorrow night for any chance of silverware.

  18. He's regularly on TS and he always says we won't be making any signings pre-window, he usually continues this claim until a week before the deadline before saying a potential exciting signing is almost complete and we sign someone like Borini <laugh>

I think they've done a good job tbh. The players that have really harmed us this season are Lovren, Lallana and Balotelli - of which 2 were definitely signed by Rodgers.

Personally, I think it's Rodgers who is gone in the summer. This smacks of when Kenny was in charge and wasn't given any money in January. I feel the owners have lost faith and it's probably cheaper to get rid a single manager than a group of scouts who already fit into their desired structure.

they were all either not vetoed or approved by rodgers in theory... but... at the same time..... we cannot be really sure who picked who unitl players or manager leave and turth is spoken.

I feel as though lovern was a strange one. I don't get how the hell rodgers can talk such nonsense about him being a leader unless he either was wrong himself or got smoke blown up his arse.

balotelli is the sacking offense for me. a compromise indeed!

its hard to know....I feel rodgers will be judged by results in next 3/4 months. a league cup and 7th should not be enough..... but the others should all be gone.

Oh and for peace sake i'd want ayre moved off footballing matters and left to run the other stuff.
