Talking of birds - we have this pesky Magpie that keeps visiting us. It keeps bullying the rabbit and frightening the poor thing. It gets on the roof of it's run and pecks away at the plastic rain cover, then walks around the ran chasing the thing. It the rabbit hides away in it's hutch, the bloody bird get on the roof and pecks away at that as well. Mind you, there is a positive - Mrs W_Y is warming to me idea of me getting a catapult and scaring the pesky bleeder away!

Swooping magpies are menace to cyclists & pedestrians in Oz - the best way to deal with them is to paint a pair of eyes on the bottom of an ice cream tub and wear it on your head.

Not for a moment am I suggesting that you subject your poor rabbit to that - but it would be interesting to see if it worked...

Morning all.. our neighbours had a nesting box with baby blue tits in it.... Magpies hovered around for days watching it and the day it came out of the box they killed it.... That is life eh... sadly..

The temperature has dropped here. The cover story on today's Jersey Evening Post is that the island is suffering it's worst outbreak of flu for years - a bit of a change from earlier in the week where there were more accusations against Jimmy Saville relating to visits to a children's home when he was on the island to participate in the Battle of Flowers parade as Mr Battle. If you remember a couple of years ago that there was a big investigation into the abuse in a children's home on the island, it's the same one. I'm guessing that the reason they didn't discover it then is that the investigation was focusing on just staff.

Doesn't stop eh.... I am afraid an organisation I do some work with has provided crisis support for a number f victims of this terrible situation. Saville was everywhere in Leeds...... A very bad man
