Andy Dawson must have taken Swanny's advice because I remember him kicking the ball out for a corner rather than a throw.

    Ditto.

We could have put him on last week when 1-0 down and it was obvious that our two replacements made first half weren't going to be able to score if West Brom all went home (and FIFA inexplicably changed the offside rule with immediate effect).

But don't start him in a game when we have better choices or a different game set up.

Peter Swan, by the way, should never be allowed to speak.

Not even in his own home.

When his family are all out.

I vaguely remember Warhurst playing for Bolton. Late 90's I think.

It didn't even work in div 3 either.
How many times was DEWHURST thrown up front towards the end of games and never did anything?

Remember him scoring at Brentford and Luton. But that was in the days when Hull City were run like a Sunday League outfit.
Example being having the goal keeper playing as an outfield player. The manager and his coach playing for the reserves as a bit of a jolly.
Peter Swan is deluded if he thinks sticking a young raw centre half up front will pay off in the Premier League.
I'm surprised he gets any media work at all in this area because he was never a Hull City legend, and in my eyes was always looked upon as a bit of a football mercenary who couldn't cut the mustard at Leeds.

His best comment was when someone sarcastically said to him they were surprised with all his knowledge that nobody had approached him to be a manager yet, and he claimed he was still too young for clubs to consider appointing him as a manager. There were several managers in the Football League at the time that were younger than him.

Well to be fair he doesnt say as a starter. Elmo would be good back-up at any club as he's always fit, never needs a rest, has a seemingly terrific attitude, is incredibly consistent and can play a couple of positions. So I actually agree with Swan on this one.

He wouldn't get into any top 8 team, fact. He is a good player like you say, but he is no better than a mid-table player.

But Swan didnt say he'd be getting into the team of a big club. That's my point.

Are you Peter Swan? If not then chill out.

He didn't say whether he would be in the squad or in the first team, no. However the way the whole article surrounded him being so amazing, he was clearly meaning in the starting 11 for a top team. If he didn't he would of said "Elmo would make the bench for a top Premier League team" wouldn't he?

It's an article based on quotes given by Swan and they say "Ahmed Elmohamady would fit in any Premier League club", I dont see how that clearly means a starting 11 at all, the word club is quite clear. And it doesnt matter if I'm not Peter Swan, there are plenty of reasons to have a go at him but in the interest of fairness this isnt one of them.

Swan clearly states he's good enough for a 'big club', it doesn't really matter if he means the starting XI, or the bench, the reality is that he's really not good enough to be playing for a big club.

Well I disagree for the reasons I stated above. The most important trait you can have for someone as back-up in a squad is a) they're fit b) ready to play whenever needed c) consistency and then d) can cover multiple positions. I'd say Elmo ticks all of these boxes.

    He's said this:

"So in that way, those attributes could've stood him in good stead at one of the top clubs in the Premier League.

Elmohamady will have been perfect at a big team but, thankfully, the Tigers have managed to keep hold of him, fit and healthy, for the best part of two years."

Every now & again Swanny comes out with something that makes sense, other times he talks **** like most people! Ex footballers talk **** all the time, if you listen to most of them when commentating or being pundits.
