East Upper. Block G I think but I'd have to check. I've just remembered my Dad took me to the Benfica game so not as good of a record as I thought
Is Yedlin eligible to play? Don't ask me where I think I've read it (probably dreamt it ) but pretty sure I've read a new signing can't play in a replay, even if they've not played in the cup for another side. If he has the all clear then it'd be great to see him for the first time but I've just got something in the back of my head saying he can't play (the voices!). Only change I'd want to make to your XI is giving Jan a rest, he's looking back to his best and I'd rather him be saved for the League and Capital Semi's and use either Vlad/ Kaboul/ Fazio alongside Dier.
I think you're right, I assumed Yedlin signed with us on the 1st of January but I've just checked and it wasn't announced until the 7th so maybe it wasn't finalised in time.
This is a game both teams might be wiser to lose. Vorm Chiriches Dier Kaboul Davies Paulinho Stambouli Lennon Soldado Dembele Ade I'd like to see Soldado in the CAM role. Not to say I will. As long as we're playing twice a week, we need subs for everyone, especially Eriksen, but also Fazio and Vertonghen. I haven't been convinced by either Lamela or Chadli in the the CAM role. Of course, if we do play this team, it will be summed up as a 4-4-2 and might well play that way, which also might not be a bad idea.
sky are saying defoe will sign for sunderland tomorrow and will be able to play against us on sunday,,,ain't we playing against them on saturday?
Vorm Chiriches Kaboul(c) Vertonghen Davies Capoue Stambouli Townsend Paulinho Rose Soldado Lloris, Dier, Naughton, Chadli, Dembele, Onomah, Kane Rose at LW?! Looks like it.
So Rose is following in the footsteps of Bale... Started at LB where his defending was...questionable and then moved up to LW...
Rose has gone there and back again, didn't he start off as a winger? I'm sure when he made his debut in THAT game against Arsenal he played ahead of Bale. Could be wrong though.
Looks like Pochettino thinks it may be wiser to lose this one as well. Well, not very daring, but it's hard to dare when you're tired, and the team has looked very weary lately. It really is a poser where the goals are coming from. To be fair, Soldado's scoring record in the cups is decent, and Paulinho's main virtue with Spurs has been an ability to score from time to time. And, of course, Rose scored a cracker the game before last. Rose did start as a winger, and he subbed as a winger at some point this year as well. I wonder why he became a left back, actually. Every time I've seen him, I've thought, dangerous going forward, dodgy defending.
Just because we seem to want to shift them, I don't know why they wouldn't play in a game we're clearly not desperate to win. I understand Adebayor and Pochettino have artistic differences, but I don't get why Lennon wouldn't play. I don't know of any indication he and Pochettino don't get along, and he's been good, for the most part, when he has played this year.
Yes, agree. Sadly in Lennon's case. Has been a top player for us and it's the wrong way for it to finish Oh, and welcome back!
You might think that when his job is to be a defender but my memories of him as a winger tell me why he was moved to fullback. For me he's not quite one thing or another. Probably slightly better as a LB. For 1m or whatever we paid for him, though, I think he's not a bad back-up LB. His tenacity is probably his biggest strength as a defender but also the cause of his greatest weakness (he does lose it a bit).
