I keep posting on existing threads, then see others post as new threads. It's usually DTLW, so I suppose I should be grateful for small mercies. From now on I shall post my every thought as a new thread...I have an exciting one lined up about how I make a cup of tea

I think he'll stay if we get into CL.

 

I think we know his mindset now. That last result has hardened every player's attitude, in my opinion. If ever there was a lack of belief before, they believe now.
Schneiderlin is going nowhere, and if Saints qualify for CL (I ought to say when) he'll be staying put. And if/when he stays, everybody will stay and players will want to come to Southampton. I suspect we'll have no difficulty recruiting for next season's extra competition.

All they have to do now is do the deed. I've always said that the best was yet to come, with this club, and we're on the cusp of it happening.

 

Its still a helluva long way to the end of the season and we wont get there with a big cushion of points. Im not personally going to set myself up for disappointment so I'll be taking each result as it comes. It's a joy to hear Schneiderlin talking this way though just because he could so easily have been a disaster this season. He's worthy of every good thing the fans and club have ever said about him. Take note those who jumped ship!

 

We may not have liked his little outburst preseason, but, when faced with the inevitable, he knuckled down and has been superb for us. Shows the man's character.

 

If I was his agent there are only two clubs in the world that I would direct him to and both are in La Liga!! Why would he want to move sideways at this stage in his career if he left us? And the asking price should be at least 75m!!

 

This is why I won't be angry with him if he goes.

 

I find it quite perplexing in sport that when teams underachieve the individuals who played a part in underachieving move on because "they deserve to be playing in Europe" when, looking at results, they patently don't. Cough. Lallana. Cough.

 

I was so disappointed with his little twitter rant, but I knew he was a smart and motivated young man who would still do his best for the club. I think there is hope that if we reach Europe he will give it a go with us and who knows? Real, Barca, PSG, Juve, Munich. Would hate to see him end up at another English club

 

As Les Reed said, some players wanted to take the shortcut. Well, the shortcut didn't exactly last long, did it. And as far as form goes, it won't be repeated next season.

This article made me smile. Morgan, despite his little spat that we all know about, really is role model to those who just concentrate on their football. Has bern brilliant this season and, fingers tightly crossed !, he will be staying put during the summer.

 

Yeah fair dos, but I just thought it was significant enough to warrant its own thread. I've been watching his body language, how he celebrates goals, etc and wondering if he's either reserved or uninterested, so this felt like a "development". Or I'm just making excuses to justify creating my first ever thread!
