Conflicting messages this morning and hoping someone might be able to shed some light. Sky news were reporting he has rejected our contract offer. Then he goes and uploads a video for the OS about being excited to get playing again.

Secondly... How would people feel if he left. I'm a massive fan of Cork and would be gutted if he left. It has been pointed out in the transfer thread that reed could do his job but I think the versatility offered by Jack in covering right back is pretty important right now.

    Thoughts?

I would be very disappointed if he left in terms of what he brings (though not as disappointed as LFF). But he's been offered a contract, I presume (perhaps wrongly) that it's decent. It's up to him - chances are that he's unlikely to ever be first choice though.

He's good, but also very replaceable. Happy if he stays, not distraught if he goes.

No real contradiction...he must be thrilled to be playing again, but may feel we are not the team for him anymore. It is a great shame that he got injured before he could truly cement himself into the side. I would be pleased if he signed..as I am a fan of his...but not as upset about losing him as I would have been a few months back. Any remaining sense of desperation has long since dissolved..I have confidence in the way the team are growing. Same applies to JRod. We are a good club...only need those who want to be here.

Sit down, Schneiderlin...I wasn't talking about you!!

Don't see why he'd go now - he knows he's a bench player at least for a side likely to finish top 6. Maybe his dad's at it again?

More likely he's playing contract improvement games?

But perhaps he'd rather play most games for a midtable side, than occasionally for a top 6 side. And would a top 6 look at him...he is a very good player strangely overlooked. He is a player's player. He just wants to see what comes up in the summer. He won't be the first player we have moved on from, but he is definitely the best.

Cork is a very good player and it would be a real shame to see him go. He seems very likeable and was part of the group that came up to the premier league so would be sorry to see him leave.

Where i stand on Cork is this:

Im happy for him to stay as he has been an important cog in the machine , however im confident should he leave that Ronald could replace him. The thing that could be worrying is if he leaves and Schneiderlin goes too

He didn't seemed too concerned in his interview, in fact sounded enthusiastic about getting back in the fold, is there a queue at the door for his services and what could we get if he leaves before the contract runs out?

Think he'll go due to tougher competition from Reed and JWP's improvement since coming back. Would still like him to stay as we'll be in Europe next year and lack CMs! :)/

Why would you be worried? We would still have Prowse, Reed, Davis, Wanyama and it's not like we can't sign replacements.

I still want him to stay, but if he wants to go then it's up to him.

I hope he stays. He's still got a lot to offer us and when not injured, he still get's a lot of game time. If we were to get into Europe next season, he will get even more game time and factor into that Morgans likely departure. Please stay Jack!

You must deal with people who speak in riddles then.

I do indeed. I'd be delighted if he stayed, but I don't think he will.

Did Lallana talk in riddles as well? He still ended up leaving. We need europa league and big investment again just to get Morgan to think about staying.
