Shaw is a good defender but adds nothing to attack. He doesn't work as a wing back as he can't really cross. I'm not saying he can't bring it into his game.But look at him last year as well, his crosses are awful.
 
I think a CB is a priority in this transfer window as realistically I can't see Toby staying at the club long-term.

That leaves us with a 31-year-old Fonte, Yoshida and Gardos as our CBs next season which in my opinion isn't enough - even more so if we are going to have our squad stretched thin with a European campaign.
 
We mustnt forget we have Stephens and Turnbull who are playing regularly for a team that will be in the Championship next season.
 
One journo said if Shaw is worth 26 mill, how much is Clyne worth? Doesn't matter because we must not sell him. No point in buying anyone in January that you wouldn't buy in the summer....so have to be wary there.

Sanogo has gone on loan to Palace.

If Clyne doesn't sign a new contract we have to sell. But not in Jan.

I see the ManU rumour mill has them coming in January for both Clyne and Schneiderlin : )

Bit pathetic really. Going to try and beat us with their cheque books because they can't do it in the league.
 
The rumours about Liverpool, City and Spurs ready to bid for Jay in Jan are really weird.

I would laugh if City buy Jay for 20 odd mil and he never recovered.

I see that Leicester signed Schwarzer, anyone else think he would of been a good back up for us until the Summer?

Tweet says Saints have made a decent contract offer, it is down to the player and his agent.

I hope it goes our way, but I can't see how we can lose either way! Jack Cork conundrum continues too, perhaps he is afraid that he isn't good enough to hold down his place and would be better off elsewhere? Funny old game.
