When I said he bought the club from Bartlett for a few quid you called me a liar. You repeated that in the other three threads as well. As you understand accounts you know the difference between buying an insolvent club and then lending it the money to pay off its debts and try and climb into the Premier League.
Its up to you whether you answer my question. If I was in your position I would either justify calling me a liar or apologise.
They made no offer of any sort according to HCC and Allam has never refuted that in any way, once the HCC challenged them to prove otherwise.
Have you forgotten the contractual obligations that surround the stadium? Oh wait ..........
He paid a nominal £1 for everything, it was obviously the debt liability that was the real cost.
I'm not going to argue, we have had the debate before, I am sure that I was told different. The one fact is that the debts were paid off.
Whilst it was originally reported that Allam intended to only purchase a majority shareholding in the club, and would continue to work with Russell Bartlett, a protracted period of due diligence indicated that the investment required would be substantially higher than originally planned; this resulted in a move to obtain complete shareholding control of the club. The deal was formally completed at 10.45 pm on 16 December 2010, with the club changing hands for the nominal fee of £1, and with Allam and his son Ehab committing themselves to invest £30 million, as well as providing assurance for a further £10 million.

HULL City owner Assem Allam says talks over his plans to buy the KC Stadium and create a multi-million pound sports village are "closed" after the council's refusal to sell.
Mr Allam wanted to buy the stadium and surrounding land – including the Walton Street car park currently used to stage Hull Fair – to develop a £114 million sports village.
But at a meeting yesterday, Councillor Terry Geraghty told the millionaire businessman the council was not willing to sell the stadium or the land around it.

Now that was what I wrote and as far as I can seen it is reasonably current and, as yet, accurate. Can you show me otherwise or is it that you would rather believe any old ****e for the sake of one of your daft arguments? If you can genuinely show me something to change my opinion then it is open to change. Although my opinion on the name-change is not.

I edited it to make sure you understand. I am only defending what I wrote that you decided to be petulant about - read what I wrote. Can you not take what you have been giving me for a while? Are you really that bloody childish.

At the end of it, we all shook hands, agreed to continue working together on a few ideas and Mr Allam even invited me to visit his factory. The next thing I know, he's calling me dishonest and criticising the council for not agreeing to what he wants. I have got no axe to grind with him and he can call me what he likes because I have always told the truth. I have no reason to lie about anything – I'm too long in the tooth for that sort of thing. He wanted us to give him the Stadium freehold That was something we were not prepared to do for a number of very good reasons. The main one was that he could not give any guarantees on the stadium's future. It was built and opened without any debt, but his proposal was to borrow against the freehold and that would create a debt. Anything with a debt carries a risk and, as a council, we are not prepared to have a situation like that. No one wants a repeat of what happened at Boothferry Park when the club got locked out of the ground because of financial problems. His proposals for developing a sports complex on Walton Street were vague & unclear. He said he would raise £120 million by borrowing on the stadium and getting £25 million from the Sports Council. I know for a fact the Sports Council hasn't got that sort of money to hand out. When we said there was a perfectly good ice arena already in the city and Albert Avenue baths just around the corner, he said the ice arena and the swimming pool they had been talking about could be dropped. He wasn't even prepared to show us his plans. He said they had cost him £3,000 and they belonged to him.You can't really work in partnership with someone if they are not prepared to share basic information like that. We've had nothing in writing from him at all, no offer to buy the stadium or anything like that. We had offered to work with Hull City's owners to relocate training pitches at Cottingham & Ideal Standard to land next to the KC Stadium, he seemed happy about that. We also offered to help locate a squash centre as part of that development, but then he got talking about shops and boutiques. Now, he's even talking about having a supermarket on the site. Either he wants a sports village or a shopping centre. He has his own style and his own way of going about things, but I think he wants his own way and nothing else.I certainly don't think he understands the workings of local government. I'm committed to sport in the city but Mr Allam and his son appeared unaware of other existing facilities in the city. We suggested Costello as a place to put the football training pitches and they said it was too small, which is just nonsense. I mentioned we have got 23 different big sporting events lined up in Hull next year and they did not seem to know anything about them. All they were interested in was getting the stadium freehold.
