So on deadline day Chalobah signed for Burnley for six months, Blackman to Boro for six months and Van Ginkel to Milan for a season. Hopefully they will all come back better players. Still don't understand why Lewis Baker never goes on loan, he's head ans shoulders above anybody else in that age group. Maybe we intend on keeping and training him with the first team squad as well as a few cup games??

van Ginkel didn't get a start in that Milan team. Sat on bench.

I know it is just his first game being there. But still - would expect him to start.

No shirt rending at the sale of your blond haired striker? Strange one that he is being signed by Milan only to be loaned Atletico.

Khedira would be the only signing that I would recommend. We should be playing Fab dowm the middle in no10 more often but our depth in the CDM position isnt that versatile - unless Ramires gets back to his form of two seasons ago.

Today's Rumours

Lionel Messi hints at move to Chelsea as he follows club and several players on social network sites. Many othwer sources also claiming that Messi has fallen out with current Barca boss Luis Enrique.

Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric's anitcipated move to Chelsea is off. Premier League rules have thwarted Chelsea's attempts to immediately send him out on loan to fellow Prem club Leicester and Kramaric was said tobe unhappy about being sent out on loan next season. Leicester are now in pole position to sign the striker permanently.

Wilfried Bony has told his club Swansea City that he would like to be informed of any bids form Champions League clubs, with Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester City both said to be interested in the Ivorian.

Real Madrid's French international defender Raphael Varane is said to be available for £20M, with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho a big admirer of the centre-back, and being the man that gave Varane his big break in the Madrid team. Manchester United are also said to be interested.

And Chelsea have offered a five year contract to St Etienne youngster Rayan Souici and are expected to beat Liverpool and Arsenal to the deal.

Messi also follows City and Marcos Rojo.

He also has a €250million buy out.

The press are just struggling for news.

I'm very happy with the current squad. I'd maybe add a quality centre half but it's not a necessity imo.

I think another player may come in after we let Schwarzer go, it frees up a spot if I'm corrrect.

Khedira would be nice for a cut-price move.

The only way Chelsea could afford Messi (keeping in FFP) is to sell a few big players, will they do that and **** up the team for 1 player?

They would need to sell their entire squad and get a Wonga loan.

I dont reckon he could take the rigours of premiership football. A good example of this is the sick note you bought from Monaco who didn't cut the ice in France. Messi is a master in the less physical La Liga where they love to play tippy-tap football and no real tackles. Exceptions of this phenomena are Aguero and Costa who have proved they can handle the rough and tumble of English football.

On the flip side Suarez is proving he needs violence and hatred to perform.

Kind of agree. Aguero and Costa are such physical players and can cope well but Messi getting battered by the likes of Shawcross on a cold Monday night in Stoke? Can't see him going for that!!

Costa has had half a decent season so far, a long way to go before he proves himself <ok>
