Two of the most ridiculous penalties ever were awarded to the Dippers at Klanfield yesterday and they were still outplayed by one of the leagues worst teams. Year on year, favour from referees makes the Mousers look better than they actually are, they have been lucky in a number of games this season and could easily be in a lot worse position in the league.

Still, at least we will not have to witness Slipper G getting away with murder on a PL football pitch for much longer. Though no doubt referees will heap their favour onto other Pool favourites such as Sterling, as we have seen recently with no action taken against his hand into the Swansea players face, an offence which we seen other players red carded for.

If you are going to blame us for those decisions you might as well blame us for Stoke not getting theirs <laugh>

Don't be worrying about Sterling getting off for something that was nothing, Cahill kicked and then stomped on kane, he will also not get banned either <whistle>

When Bale left I thought, there goes our goals, but, lately Spurs seem to be gradually coming together as a TEAM,plus a young goalscorer from the Academy, plus one of the Worlds best goalkeepers.(He has to be with our defence!)

Liverpool are set to pay Lille £3m to bring striker Divock Origi back to Anfield this month. The 19-year-old Belgium international is currently on a season-long loan at the French club from Brendan Rodgers's side

Could you imagine Levy falling for this?
Having to pay £3m for your own player. No recall clause in the loan deal?

They've got to be one of the most financially inept clubs around

According to Rodgers, Steven Gerrard is "irreplaceable" because he scored twice against the team currently placed 80th in the football league.

Rodgers is actually right about that. Ok Gerrard is way past his best, but he's still their leader. Who will replace that in the Pool side, I can't imagine.

if he is irreplaceable why has he made the decision that forces him to replace him with someone? Or is he planning on playing with 10 men next season?
Either way, he's a chuffing idiot

There's plenty of players who can compensate for what Gerrard gives them every season: Sturridge and Sterling as just as good at falling over in the penalty area without any contact as he is.

Makes your realise how bad Rodgers has been in the transfer market.

Suarez bailed them out last season, an ageing Gerrard this....

They will have to spend big to be competitive next season, but have they got the cash?

"If a contract had been put in front of me in pre-season I would have signed it" - Steven Gerrard

He neglects to mention that part about Liverpool offering him a new contract in December. Apparently he's too loyal to the club to mention things like that...

Depends whether Rodgers is doing the buying. If he is he'll need the combined wealth of all the Arab princes and all the oligarchs to get things right.

'Pool 0 v 0 Blackburn (FA Cup tie)

It's good to see 'Pool making massive strides in this competition, after the hammering they took off Brentford Town, a couple of seasons back.
