0:10 is why Lover is far better for the team than Shola. His passing and work with the team is good most of the time.

Edit: You meant another bit my bad. But both are bad as eachother, Shola tops it for me though because he wins things in the air, and is capable of effectively holding up the ball.

Lover can score and be more effective with a good partner upfront. He was much more active with Best partnering him, how the **** is Lover supposed to score if he's relying on knock downs and passes from Shola that rarely come?
Lover could have scored more and had more chances if Shola could simply pass. That debacle vs Blackpool shows exactly why Lover has had a lack of goals, and that's because Shola is a **** partner.

People think Shola is some sort of beast in the air. He isn't. He's tall, but barely wins anything, except for about 3/4 games a season when he has a blinder. Lovenkrands is happy to run himself into the ground all game and do the simple things that help the team tick. He allows others to do their job, whereas Shola forces them to do his job

Best is a better striker overall but hes absolutely awful in the air for such a big bloke.

I agree a lot of the time he's just running after long balls and achieving nothing, but a lot of the time he links up well with the team, adds pace to an attack, can get on the wing and put in a nippy cross or a pass, and his work rate just makes me respect him.
He's not a brilliant player, but better than Shola. Lovenkrands suffered last season because he had that gorilla as partner. But when Best came on he was a lot more effective because he was passed to and played through a lot more. I can't believe Best wins much more in the air than Shola despite being 3 inches smaller and about 2 stone lighter.
Lovenkrands needs to have someone to play with, and 90% of the time with Shola you might aswell just play with 10 men.

Heading at goal he's ****, but for flick-ons and bringing the ball down, he's up there with some of the best. Look how often we spray it up to him and he wins it before taking it down and laying it off
