@PJBuckingham: Steve Bruce keen on Jermain Defoe but worried a deal may prove too expensive for [HASHTAG]#hcafc[/HASHTAG]

Maybe, on loan, doubt its what we need. Could do with a couple of full backs to be honest!

Sagbo, McShane and may Jak may be going.

No doubt about it he'd score goals..
It's a no brainer if we could make it happen we should.

Nothing wrong with our front two on today's performance, give them the service and they'll score goals. It's the link up play from midfield and our general failure to attack in numbers and at pace that's our problem, today aside of course, but how **** were Everton that was embarrassingly poor

So that hard hitting scoop finding journo Buckingham listens to Radio Humberside and misquotes what Steve Bruce actually said. Having read his match reports I've always suspected he writes based on Burns and Swans comentary.

The front two did do well today it was a joy to watch..
But games like Leicester when we just need a finisher there is no one better than Defoe available for the rest of the season.

I think Brucie is playing games here. I don't see how Defoe fits in to the way we play. Secondly, £60k is VERY expensive for a 32 year old. Thirdly, Torono aren't looking to loan, they want to sell so we would have to make a significant financial committment.

I think Bruce is playing games with QPR.

Nice to have, but not what we need
I don't agree with this. You can never have too many goal scorers.

I can't see this one happening mind. The cost of the transfer would be a little too much for us I should think.

maybe Yaya Sanogo on loan from Arsenal would be a good move for us? Good young striker with bags of potential and they want to loan him to a Premier League club

He's a bit **** though, isn't he? I'd rather have Manucho back.

I know that was very 'tongue-in-cheek' Sterling as Manucho has played 27 games in the last 4 years for 3 different Clubs and has managed 3 goals. Yet another who went to the same "School for Strikers" as Altidore.
There is however a few rumours doing the rounds that we are interested in Sanogo - I can't see it myself though.

We're going to have £50k a week free from Ben Arfa.

Defoe is a great finisher, but that is all.

I'm not sure he has the all round game not he's lost his pace for us.
