Stoke not given a clear penalty. Surprise surprise. All the ref decisions go with them and the pundits then conclude what a great manager LVG is. Not hard to be a top manager with the refs and hundreds of millions of £ on your side!
Yes, you're not liable to see a much more blatant handball, right in front of Oliver's face too! Nothing given!
And on TalkShite they say 'that's a good result for Stoke' which kind of sums up a lot what is wrong with that station - that regardless of how the match went or who got the dodgy decisions, ManU have some divine right to finish near the top of the table.
Owners come and owners go. Managers come and managers go. The only constant in the Premier League is that Manchester United and Liverpool have the referees in their pocket. Two fine examples already today!
I haven't seen the Liverpool pen so will reserve judgment, but on the face of it we have ManU not getting a penalty for handball in the area awarded against them and Liverpool having a penalty for handball in the area awarded for them. The pundits just call this "lack of consistency", which is true, but unfortunately this lack of consistency tends to benefit certain sides only.
Everton seem to be struggling now. They will have to make a decision soon methinks on whether they can accommodate the Europa alongside the business end of the PL.
Pool were 2 up with two pens... now 2 all...what price another pool pen Oons could have been 4 down... thought soton had shot their load and burnt out before xmas but they have come good again
Liverpools 1st penalty was an absolute joke...and the refs reaction to the player was unbelievably arrogant.
