The officials clearly missed that. They can't have possibly missed the Sterling one.

<laugh> you mean the one where the ref is 2 yard away and staring at it... yeah of course <ok>

ref bottled that and knows he did so bottled the Sterling one as well.

Both will get 3 match bans... unfortunately Swansea will be happy with shelvey's where as ours means we have Balotelli up front on his own again slowing our play down.

I can understand how someone can miss something in a tussle as two players run for a ball.
I can't understand how someone can miss the only thing happening at the time when it's right next to him and the arm comes winging in front of his face.
At least Stevie Wonder woud've felt it! <laugh>

Monk continues to believe his own cobblers.
Not wise in hindsight but it's a very big 'told you so''.
Shelvey should be no where near our team - he's publicly rebuked by the manager who then picks him. Shelvey plays like a school boy and should have been sent off, anything new there? Nope.
Liverpool score from the right so Monk takes off the right back - who was having decent game (not for those who have already decided he's not good enough but are still giving Taylor 'time to get his form back' after his injury). If I were Jazz I'd be handing in my transfer request in the morning.
Shocking passing throughout the team and dangerous back passes from Williams and Fernandez.
Players don't seem to know what they are supposed to be doing.
Routledge, Dyer, Siggy (apart from his goal), Fed and Leon have been anonymous.
Why rest Ki? He's going to Australia next week!
Ki on for Leon, Gomis for Bony and Rangel for Jazz but guess who stays on? Jonjo who has, while I've been typing scored an own goal - the guy is a LIABILITY. Brilliant management!

Last season Laudrup was pilloried for making too many changes when he was juggling three cups and the league, yet Monk is still being lauded when he does the same thing for no discernible reason and little benefit.

In January we still need to get a left back, a commanding DCM and another midfield player who can score.
We have got a decent points tally but have played poorly for most of the season but and got very very lucky.
Our points against top half teams is woeful.

As badly as we played v Hull and Villa we didn't embarrass ourselves as has happened tonight. Poor again for most of the game against a weak Liverpool.
QPR away and West Ham at home could see Huw looking for a new manager.

What a shocking performance. I don't think Jon Jo won't get done for his flaying elbow, but how can't the linesman who's standing right along side him now do anything, flabbergasted.

I'm finding is difficult to pick out any players that can come out of this one with any credit. Fernandez did well, only one I can think off. Dyer and Routs were well truly ****e tonight, we so missed Montero. I'd drop the pair of them for QPR.
