You know this how? Through what Bruce has said in the media? He's not exactly going to come out and say that his boss is a petulant idiot with a stupid idea is he? <doh>

Exactly, when was the last time a manager criticised his employer whilst still under contract?

I think that was the point, but at the latest Barmby, and that's not being caught up in what was said when he was sacked. I was already saying in the January/February time that I was surprised at how badly Barmby was handling his media involvement considering he was ex-England and had played for big clubs. (Admittedly didn't think he'd be sacked for it directly, but he was really making a rod for his own back at that point)

Well if it is going to happen it would be best it happened quickly to give any new manager here as much time in the January transfer window as possible.

Pardew has gone from the Mags barring compo talks breaking down.

Hearing some hilarious stuff about a replacement.

Bruce mentioned but also Carver for foreseeable future, Beardsley, Pulis, Rupert de Bear, Collocini as player manager, Gazza, Joey Barton as player manager, Keegan (Natch), Joke in ear, Brendon Rodgers.

I made one of them up.

Basically the usual Geordie rumour mongers make it up as they go along.

    Anyone on here fancy it?

I'll drop a CV in for you. I'm not busy tomorrow.

i wouldn't be too unhappy with Pulis , but do we have anyone in the squad that Pulis would want to play in his version of football ?

Key questions: Will you try to bring Ben Arfa back into the fold? Will Newcastle finish Top Four under you this season? Do you know any goalkeepers? Could you fiddle whilst St. James burns after Mike Ashley buggers off to Scotland?

Answer yes to all the above and I reckon that you'll be a shoe-in.

They'll love you like a returning Messiah.

    Alan Pardew > Crystal Palace
    Steve Bruce > Newcastle United
Tim Sherwood w/Les Ferdinand > Hull City

I also reckon Glenn Hoddle could feature somewhere on this managerial merry go round.

All i can promise is i will do my best. I know football is like a religion up here and you/they are the best fans in the world. Their support is second to none and they deserve to win something soon. I'd like to be the man to bring that trophy to the Geordie faithful, who are the best fans in the world.
I wont say too much about my plans for the team, but i will say Hatem is in them and thats all I'm willing to say at this moment to the lads on the Gallowgate end. Where i once stood and saw Super Mac and Alan Shearer bang them in for the best fans in the world.
Without giving my hand haway i will honestly say goal keeping is not my strongpoint but no stone will be left unturned in my search for and bid for Buffon, who is the only keeper that is good enough to stand in front of the Geordie masses.
If mike goes, I dont really mind, as long as i get paid off.

They are saying on NBC now that palace and Newcastle have agreed a 2 million pound deal and Pardew is out. They are saying it will be made official soon. Apparantly they are saying that the Pardew out campaign was the main reason he wants out also that the Newcastle board is refusing to provide transfer funds to him.

Would it matter if Allam is on the way out anyway? I doubt he would be able to leave if we got relegated.

If I was making the appointment I would definitely not go for Pulis.

For a start, I hate the things he instructs his players to do. Incessant time wasting, always breaking the flow of the game, a bit of cheating and what not, not to mention the style of football.

I also don't really think we have the players to suit him. Wrong choice of words there, because he'd almost certainly get this bunch playing to his game, but I mean this squad has some real serious talent in it, they just need to be put on the pitch together at once and licence to play a bit. They are capable of so much more.

It's not up to me and we'll get who we're given.

Dropped the Mrs off at work an hour ago, had talks port on in the car, they claim their sources say Pardew to Palace is all but done and it's about to be made official.

Must say this has surprised me, when the rumour picked up last night I just couldn't see why Pards would leave Toon for Palarse.
