Any plonker that ever said he was crap really has no clue. He has been decent every game he has played in and today he showed it again.

Similar to Ben Arfa I thought it was more of a mental issue than doubting his actual football ability, he just didn't seem to want to be here. Not today though he showed his quality today long may it continue.

That is purely down to him playing in other leagues which play the game slower. In the EPL they need time and games to get to pace of the game here.

I don't like to say I told you so..but I did. He is a good player he's the sort of player we need, always wants the ball and doesn't give it away. Might not always be the worldly balls but he keeps it. As long as SB keeps blowing smoke up his arse and gives him confidence he'll be a good player for us.

He looked great today. He showed over a longer period what he has shown in spells of games. Long may that continue.

He just needed a run of games and a bit of confidence, before coming to us he hadn't played for ages

Just like a few more, but, all jokes aside, this result must confuse the hell out of Bruce as players become available. Was that a corner we just turned? Despite all of the bull, I really hope so; some great individual performances, that must make the sidelines think deeply of their worth. UTT.

Can't say I did, he was shocking! Fair play to the lad and manager for turning it around

He's still a bit lightweight at this level so don't expect too much of the bloke. Whereas I would have pulled his shorts down and kissed his @rse for the goal that brought us back into the game it was a piss weak shot which was well covered by Pantillon (this bloke is surely 11 foot tall) but the ball hit a divot and bounced over him.

There's been a lot of knee-jerking in the past 16 hours, although positive knee-jerking is at least more pleasant reading than the more common other variety.

But let's not get carried away - while it's nice to have confirmation that Ramirez is not the waste of space some said he was, we can't suddenly anoint him as the Messiah either. He remains very lightweight and difficult to fit into a formation. I hope he does prove himself in coming games, as there's no doubt that his ball control is better than most.

I don't think it's the goal people are praising him for Roo, it was a lucky bounce(although if doesn't shoot...). It's more about his movement and ball retention. And with grafters like Quinn and Meyler around him, we may finally have someone who can open up the opposition.

This. ^^^^^^. After the Swansea game i had my doubts on him. But whilst he got a bit of luck with the bounce off the turf his corners were much better and looks to be a slow burner for us. More of the same sunday please Gaston.
