Ferguson admits to intentionally intimidating match officials: Nothing we didn't know, but it's nice to know that something the media played along with, like Paul Scholes' horrific tackling, was deliberate scummy behaviour. Classy!
Will the FA remove 60 points from United this season as a punishment for Fergie's transgressions.....?
I was talking about late on, there's always a chance in a game where both teams score that you'll have either points lost or won depending on the order of the goals. The reason Arsenal have "dropped" those points from winning positions is because they're not playing very well this season, you don't start seeing out a game after 20 minutes because you're a goal up and that's what I'm talking about. It's the last 10 minutes when wins are grasped from draws and losses averted. They've scored 5 in the last 10 minutes that have effected the outcome of matches this season winning them 7 points. They've conceded 2 goals in the last 10 minutes dropping 4 points. Obviously that was more impressive before Skrtel scored but that's why I was surprised.
According to Gilly Ballache, the rumours about Gareth Bale joining Utd are entirely false. He also claims that the Welshman's buyout clause is £1bn!
According to anyone who has a clue what they're talking about, the rumours of Bale joining Man Utd are as much complete and utter bollocks as the rumours of them re-signing Showpony.
Stoke concede to Chelsea really early on and from a bloody set-piece, too. Nice of Hughes to do his old club a favour.
That's a poor tackle by Bardsley, but Hazard rolls over about 10 times and then looks up at the ref to see what he's given, before rolling about again in supposed pain! This is Chelsea's clean side, is it?
Anyone know why Stoke fans stood and applauded at 20ish minutes? Commentators totally ignored it for some reason.
This should answer your question: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/286593-Stoke-game-Monday-night
28th minute. A Stoke fan of that age died in a car crash and his wife's critically ill. One of their 4 young children is at the game. http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/238027/nathan-smallwood-minutes-applause-monday
You are always up there with the news,Human. Are you a sportswriter? ...and now one of my favourite singers has gone.Joe Cocker.....!
There's one thing about these tributes I always wonder: what do they do if the opposition score at that time? Do they still applaud?
