When you talk about 8 million, you need to remember this is nearly 2015 and 8 million gets you **** all these days unless you're taking a punt on a foreigner who has done OK in the French or Dutch league.
Chester, Robertson, Dawson, Davies, Elmo, Huddlestone, Brady, McGregor etc would be interested to hear that. [Edit: How could I forget Diame, a great buy in late 2014?]
So you're saying Livermore is worth the 8 mill we spent on him? Jack colback, free transfer Gareth Barry, free transfer Shelvey, cheaper than Livermore
Don't believe the stupidity of some of the posts on here. On what ****ing planet can anyone compare Gareth Barry's FREE transfer to Everton with us signing Jake Livermore???
To compare to two transfers you have to consider: Their age, the stage they are at in their career, their value to their current club, their value to their new club, wages, bonuses, potential sell on value, the players position, the players form, the players history and the players decision. Only then can you compare transfer fee's, as none of the above are ever identical its utterly pointless trying to compare.
Granted the Barry one is a bit far fetched but my point is Bruce signed Livermore for 8 million!! 4 or 5 million over his true value......I.e wasted money
"NO ONE questions my childbirth decisions. I'll show you my CV - the university gave me honorary ovaries."
Andy Dalton and Mark Gretton aren't involved, it's others you can thank for acting in your behalf this time.
With any luck we will go down as Allam is forced to convert his gift to the people of Hull into equity. Double relegation would be better.
The fans were consulted over Kirkby and there was a formal vote, which narrowly came out in favour. It was only afterwards that the outcry came, as the full details of the scheme emerged.
Thanks. It's gratifying to have one's thought endorsed by like minded people. It's why I like to come on this message board.
