After key fixtures â and victories â against Aston Villa, Leicester City and Burnley in recent weeks, Harry Redknappâs charges will be keen to build on their impressive home record thus far this season when the Baggies come to town. Victory would see the Râs move level on points with Alan Irvineâs side, who currently sit in 14th place, following last weekendâs crucial 1-0 win against local rivals Aston Villa. Charlie Austinâs return from a one-match ban will provide boss Harry Redknapp with a timely boost following Mondayâs 3-1 defeat at Everton, with the striker likely to be paired alongside Bobby Zamora in attack. Steven Caulker is expected to be fit after missing out on Monday owing to concussion, but Mauricio Isla is unavailable, with the Juventus loanee back in Chile with his partner due to give birth imminently. For the Baggies, Chris Brunt is nearing full recovery from a hamstring injury, but Victor Anichebe (groin), Jonas Olsson (foot) and Georgios Samaras (ill) are unlikely to feature. please log in to view this image Possible Starting Xl's please log in to view this image - - - please log in to view this image WAGS please log in to view this image - - - please log in to view this image Nataly Hormazabal Girlfriend of Mauricio Isla and Debbie Lescott Wife of Joleon PRE-MATCH TALK - QPR V WBA QPR goalkeeper, Robert Green: âItâs another big game. âEach game we donât pick up points away from home, weâre putting more pressure on our home form. âWeâve done very well at home this season though. Weâre confident; weâre a challenge for anybody at home. âItâs another good opportunity for three points.â Baggies boss, Alan Irvine: âThe place has been buoyant, there is confidence, so itâs been business as usual. âBut we know thereâs a tough game coming up. âWe have to move quickly, when you win it's good but 10 minutes later youâre thinking âwhoâs next and what do we have to do?â" BET VICTOR QPR win: 13/10 Draw: 11/5 WBA win: 11/5 LAST MEETING - QPR V WBA WBA 0, QPR 1 â FA Cup, Third Round â Tuesday 15th January 2013 Scorer: QPR â Bothroyd HEAD TO HEAD - QPR V WBA QPR wins: 14 Draws: 10 WBA wins: 18 MATCH OFFICIALS - Referee: C Pawson Assistant Referees: M McDonough & M Scholes Fourth Official: M Dean The Terror Of Knowing... Nice one Ninesy. This is a massive game, easily the toughest of the relegation 6 pointers we've had so far.
Albion are an established Premier League team now and will be a much tougher prospect than Leicester or Burnley, we'll need to be on our game right from the off, Berahino can really punish us if we give him the opportunity...
Off for a day up West soon with Mrs Rangercol, before the game. The lad can't come today, so the current Mrs Rangercol is coming to the game. She had better not be a jinx or else it will be a very, very cold and lonely Christmas!!!!
Coming to the C & S pre match Col? It's just struck me that my usual parking option, Westfield, may be a bit busy today.
Looking forward to this. Should be a real decent test of our home form. We've struggled against mid table teams so i want to see how we cope. Shame Isla isnt playing but we should have cover (thats HR's job). Looking forward a decent game - tough decision on green or Macarthy for me TBH !
Is there a reason why Barton has been left out Nines? Or is it your prefered lineup? I reckon we'll line up like this: please log in to view this image
I think Harry is more likely to go with your line-up mate. Barton has been poor of late, but Harry making him captain means he is virtually undroppable. I would only play one of Henry or Barton. Henry gets my vote as he is the better enforcer.
My thoughts exactly mate, couldn't agree more. It is not "my" lineup but more what I think Harry will go with. I would be more than happy to go with your lineup. But I'd also like to see Bobby start, which is difficult without losing the midfield battle against a WBA side that will most likely start with 5 across the middle. That said, we have looked our best at home with both Charlie and OBZ leading the line in a conventional 4-4-2.
Thanks for the MD thread 9s. Congrats to Mauricio and the delightful Nataly. Big big game today... need a strong performance from lads today.
