JWP was getting his eye in on Tues evening, but unfortunately not quite accurate enough - however one free kick only just went over the bar and would have been a magnificent effort if it had dipped another couple of inches. Lets hope that it all comes together for him on Sat.

Doesn't look a bad team when you put it like that...glad our backline is untouched, but we will sorely miss Wanyama (the magnificent) and Schneiderlin (arguably our best player). Really glad we've got JWP back...we scarcely missed him before, but could be our saviour now. He was just getting his eye in before...a goal from a free kick on Saturday :)

No but just realised Tadic is out which significantly weakens us on paper :(

I think the lose of Tadic isn't so significant for tomorrow as he has been a shadow of himself for the last fortnight or so.
The extra weeks rest may help him come back over the busy Xmas period to his former performance levels

I see you lads have got an injury / suspension crisis for tomorrows game.

Can't say I'm gutted that the likes of Wanyama and Sniederlin will be missing though, as with Tadic, as they've all looked great when I've seen you this season.

Will probably still be a tight game though, wouldn't want to call it tbh.

Tough one for any of the youngsters to come in to. We're playing poorly, have no confidence and will have a much changed team. Needs must though.

I'd heard that Davis was doubtful - is he okay then? Think he could be the key as he does get us driving forward (though I DO wish he'd get a goal!)

As poor and frustrating as he has been, I do hope that the great saints fans get behind him for a sustained period on this game... No? Didn't think so.

*waits for Mane to get groaned and booed after first mistake*

I won't boo him (don't do that), but I may well groan if he doesn't get running into the box the way he did earlier in the season!

Mustn't turn Mane into a Guly. I too have been disappointed with him recently, but no player improves if he is booed or even groaned at. The trouble is that popular players get away with murder, whilst another player ends up as the scapegoat.

I was being polite SFTW
I think his dip in form started for me at Villa Park and has gone down even further with every game
Hopefully this break will re invigorate him

I actually thought he was beginning to come back into some form. Regardless, the break will hopefully help a bit.

Been asked by an Everton supporting mate about away friendly pubs near the ground. Any suggestions?

Can someone update me on the Pelle/Davis situation? Different sources saying different things

They are both doubtful. Going by the Premier League site and physioroom.com they are both more likely to start than miss out.
