Nearly time to start to set off to pick up the rest of the Northampton Massive and head south to SMS
A like nervous about this one....hope the youngsters can stand proud against a good opposition who are under performing as far as results are concerned

Tight defence required as I can't see where the goals will come from

Would rather keep our defence the same, but Koeman seems to favour playing Toby forward. Good luck to Reed. Tadic not even on bench.

Jwp assist for Pelle header <ok>

Glad Mane has been dropped, he'll make more impact off the bench i think.

Hmm. Everton could have the distinct advantage here of actually having some subs.

Big statement by Koeman dropping Mane when we have so many injuries, it seemed like he favoured him for some strange reason. Feel a bit better about this game now, I feel we've got enough technical ability in midfield to compete now, just worried that Long and Pelle may end up a bit isolated as we're effectively playing 4 CMs and 2 strikers.

Thinking about it, this combination of players could be lining up a number of ways:

    352:
    Fonte Alderweireld Yoshida
    Clyne W-Prowse Reed Davis Bertrand
    Pelle Long

    433:
    Clyne Fonte Yoshida Bertrand
    Davis Alderweireld Reed
    W-Prowse Pelle Long

    41212:
    Clyne Fonte Yoshida Bertrand
    Alderweireld
    Davis Reed
    W-Prowse
    Pelle Long

Pleased he dropped Mane...as I feared he was blind to his poor form. Sorry, Ron. I hope Mane can regain his earlier form, but didn't want to see him in this game.

I'm glad Koeman dropped Mane, so he does see what most of us here see.

    I think it's a 3-5-2.

Forster; Fonte, Yoshida, Alderweireld; Clyne, Ward-Prowse, S. Davis, Reed, Bertrand; Long, Pellè.

This is the one I'm most dubious about - I don't think you can drop into 352 half way through a season, it takes months of training to get it right and Man Utd are effectively demonstrating that even then it's not easy to get right. Personally I also think Koeman wouldn't play without a DM, and Alderweireld is the only player we have who can play in that role. Personally think it's a midfield diamond, but we'll see!

Looks like it a 3-5-2 - we need our midfield to link up with Pelle more and we probably want to push Everton's fullbacks back. Almost making our half of the 16 from the academy today too!
