They sold their best and truly world class goal scorer in 58 years and they expect what exactly ....

I have no sympathy for them. They decided that Suarez, depsite his goal production and match winning ability, was too much of a burden for them. Then they sign Balotelli ... a demon child if ever there was one, who can't score into an empty net. WTF are they thinking up there.

OK Dai, do a side by side comparison of Suarez and Balotelli and explain exactly where I am wrong .... otherwise STFU and stop hitting your head, I think that's a big part of your problem.

Scoring into an empty net was a figurative statement ..... in the same vain as "talking crap" is figurative. I still wouldn't bet money on him actually scoring into an empty ... he has missed those before.

Suarez is one of the best strikers in the world but it's not Rodgers fault he left Liverpool like you say. the same as if Bony leaves it wont be monks fault. Money decides these things, nothing else. Botticelli Has nothing to do with it. Liverpool is not the club for him as we can see now but hindsight would be a marvellous thing to have and nobody has that...

Balotelli did not become a problem player with limited production over night. He has been bouncing from club to club for quite a few seasons now with similar outcomes in terms of behavior and performance. To think that suddenly this leopard is going to change his spots is not realistic. Hindsight has nothing to do with it.

Suarez and Balotelli / Lambert are not Rogers' fault; those were the cards he was dealt. However, failing to correct a leaky defense in the face of a loss of goal production is and this is likely to be his undoing.

Scotland moved up to the Prem - a level beyond his pay grade. Danny took to whatever and his ability deteriorated.

And I'm not taking in general, but in the specific. Balotelli is a specific.

Balotelli has been - at the same level as 'Pool - a consistent pain and poor performer relative to his peers for sometime.

Are you really trying to justify Rodgers signing arguable the biggest dickhead to play football? His arrogance got in the way and he thought he was good enough to sort Balottelli out, when bigger and better managers have failed. Everybody except you and BR knew it would bite him on the backside by signing 'Average Mario'.

I was of that opinion before a Scouser on the pool board put me right, he made the point that "Rodgers came out and stated he had nothing to do with the Super Mario signing" ? Not seen it myself in the media, but I took it on face value?

"Nothing seemed straightforward about Balotelli's arrival at Anfield. Questioned about Liverpool's interest in the player on August 3, Rodgers said: "I can categorically tell you Mario Balotelli will not be at Liverpool.” Three weeks later, the striker was part of his squad with Rodgers informing us that “to get someone of that quality in this market is a very good deal for us.”

It was no secret that Liverpool harboured concerns about the player's volatile behaviour and had initially wanted to take him on a loan as a way of—relatively—safely testing troubled waters. Milan refused to countenance such a short-term switch". “At Liverpool there's a strategy behind what we are doing,” he told Sky Sports a month before adding Balotelli to a collection of eight-figure fees for Adam Lallana, Emre Can, Markovic, Dejan Lovren, Divock Origi and Alberto Moreno. Like Super Mario, it's become a hard strategy to have faith in. - Duncan Castles writes for the Sunday Times

Have I heard right ? Did Rodgers blame the Liverpool pitch today, he must be scraping the barrel for things/people to blame other than himself of course ......

    Yup, it's a terrible pitch <laugh>

Also strong rumours that he's re-signed Fernando Torres.

You slag off Rodgers who got us promotion and had time for the fans and you praise that Muppet Laudrup who nearly got us relegated and never had time for his own players let alone the fans.<laugh> Unbelievable but typical from some <ok>

Liverpool have like other clubs a committee who research and select targets who they feel are suitable the final decision is the managers,Rodgers may well have denied Liverpools' interest in Ballotelli but which manager hasn't tried to put others off the scent during negotiations .
