I'd include Zaki in that list probably in place of Proschwitz. At least Prozzy won us a point or two, and chipped in with one or two FA Cup goals.

Harsh on Proschwitz, he should be a bit lower he did score some important goals for us (Ipswich at home) according to soccerbase he had 5 starts 3 goals in the league 4 starts 3 goals in the FA cup and 3 starts 1 goal in the League cup. He came off the bench 24 times in the league he was hardly going to get any form going like that.

Prozzer is only on the list cos everyone believes the price they were told at the time. If they'd been told the more accurate £1m then he wouldnt make the top 4. Instead I'd include Richie Appleby, he was on massive money for us at the time. Or was that more than 10 years ago?

The other 3 in the top 4 are nailed on. I forgot Halmosi and how ****e he was, he contributed nothing.

Anyone suggesting Junior Lewis is an idiot. He was cheap and he contributed, he was never the best player but he was never meant to be.

To put Hatem Ben Arfa in is just idiotic, he's had a few brief appearances in an under performing team and suddenly he's one of the worst players we've had in the last decade, complete bollocks.

John Bostock, Josh King, Amir Zacki and Fathy should all be in there though.

More negative **** printed in the local caring Hull Daily Mail.

Well turn it around then to top 10 signings but can we make it last 15 years to include some of our greatest ever contributors?:

10 - Henrik Pedersen
9 - Bo Myhill
8 - Michael Turner
7 - Curtis Davies
6 - Stuart Elliott
5 - Fraizer Campbell (no matter what anyone thinks, if we hadnt signed him we wouldnt have got promoted and we wouldnt therefore have bounced back to the Premier League.
4 - Ahmed Elmohamady
3 - Nick Barmby
2 - Dean Windass
1 - Ian Ashbee

I did this very quick without much thought so I'm probably missing some obvious ones....

Erm, nobody said he was one of the worst players of the last decade. It's worst signing, they're completely different.

For my best signings list it isnt the 10 best players, it's the 10 best signings in terms of value. HBA has cost us approx £800k and contributed absolutely nothing.

Amended the number one.

Andy Dawson - in at no. 3 for me

If you're going to include Nick Barmby, who averaged about 20 games a season for us, then surely you need to include Ryan France too who did the same over the same period?

I'll never get the Barmby myth, is it because he was born in Hull? Other than that game at Wednesday he was a passenger.

Rowan Vine.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned him already. One of the most pointless loan signings we've ever made and one of the worst.

Geovanni and Jay Jay had pretty major impacts on the team during their spells.

I'd consider swapping Chester in too. In his 4 years he solidified our defence under Pearson, was a rock at the back in getting us promoted and helped us stay in the premier league. He also scored the first goal in the FA Cup Final.
