Clearly none of them are ready to manage Arsenal just yet. Bergkamp is already on his coaching journey, but Henry hasn't even started out. If either (or both) of them are involved with Arsenal at management level in the future, it will be a few years away yet.

I don't see how bergkamp could manage a top club due to him not flying how would he get from London to say russia in just a few days on train driving etc.

We should try and maybe emulate Barca, have a lot of in house managing, the only problem is Bergkamps fear of flying so he is ruled out as the top guy, but one day maybe Bould, with someone like Adams or Henry as the assistant.

    Outsiders view.

Wenger has had you in the champions league for 400 years, you play great football, he does this whilst running the club debt free probably at the owners instruction, you have the best ground in the country. Who in the real world do you think could better this.

There is only one pl winner and one champ league winner a season and sadly the richest clubs are going to win both 99 times out of 100.

It would be great for Arsenal to get Bergkamp and Henry on board in coaching roles. I don't know if either of them could develop to the level to manage Arsenal, but I think it makes a lot of sense to bring them into the club again.

Wenger is a great coach but poor manager, he would prefer to lose pretty than win ugly which is why you have such a bad record against the other CL chasing sides, and your players "don't like it up 'em" which is why Stoke always give you a hard time. He has never replaced Viera, personally I think Fellaini would have been a good fit there.

Wenger's latest gem: "If everybody is fit then we don't need to go into the transfer market"

So, he still sees no need to replace Vermaelen. What a stubborn, clueless twat. After the countless disasters and humiliations caused by an inadequate squad he still steadfastly refuses to strengthen.

He could be bluffing so that we don't get over charged. I think everyone here agrees that we need another CB at least.

That video is essentially a few blokes shouting abuse at a pensionar. It's just tragic that it has to come this. If only Wenger left after the Cup final. Sigh.

People are more focussed on Wenger the legend getting abused but anyone getting this kind of abuse is frankly unacceptable. I mean what did Wenger actual do, committed mass murder? A game is a game and this kind of reaction makes people look foolish. It's not like Wenger is a terrible manager, he's just not the best of the best. I wonder if this would have happened 20-30 years back? Probably not.

Careful what you wish for Gooners. Some of us look at you with unashamed envy - 20 years-ish of the best football in the country, permanent CL participation etc etc. I'd love to have a manager with distinctive principles and style.

Anyway, you'll have a lovely Boxing Day against us, go big on the spread bets.

Not everybody wants Wenger out <ok> Personally I think it would be the single biggest mistake we could make at the moment.

    Yeah I would agree.

The argument that Wenger may no longer be an 'elite' manager is a fair one but what are the chances we could find a better manager on short notice?.. It's highly unlikely.

Consistancy is not an easy thing in football - just look at Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.

    ..... and that's the rub.

Wenger has got his flaws, undeniable. But he's still one of the best out there, certainly in terms of who could realistically manage Arsenal at the moment anyway. It's okay throwing names around like Guardiola, Simeone etc, but they don't look likely to leave their clubs and even if they did, there's no guarantee they'd come to Arsenal anyway.

Why take a risk when you can be all happy, warm and snuggly showing no ambition with 4th place and the occasional domestic cup?

It's about calculated risk though. Take that risk now and who's going to replace him ?
I pretty sure if we sacked him now you could forget all about warm and snuggly 4th place

Depends on what happens this season and who would be available in the summer.
