Is anyone else a little surprised Citeh didn't go for Enrique? Jose's a much better player than Clichy in my opinion. I'd almost welcome a bid from Arsenal now, just so he doesn't go to Liverpool.

Maybe not high profile enough for them in all honesty. Plus they maybe though Clichy would've been the easier option - instead of fighting it out with both Liverpool and Arsenal for Jose.


If he leaves, it'll probably be to the Arse - Champs league and all that.

TBH, Clichy is hardly a big name, he just played for a big(ish) club.

Jose is a better player, but I'm glad he didn't go to Citeh, he probably would be back-up behind Kolarov.

Oh aye yeah I'm not saying that Clichy is a bigger/better player than Jose, but I just think City would see him that way with him being an Arsenal player - they probably see it as taking a top player from one of their closest rivals.

I think they'd have been better off signing Gibbs - a young, excitin talent and would count as a home-grown player.

Yeah Gibbs is a player I definitely rate - would definitely like him here. Wouldn't happen like
Doubt Arsenal would be too keen to let him go.

I think they might go for an older LB, because even if Enrique joins they'd still want Gibbs to be a starter eventually. Would be a waste to see Jose on the bench after 2 or 3 years.
