Tom - I had my grandmother's funeral today as well. A difficult experience but good to be there for one's family I think. Oldest grandson curse - I had to read at it. I think most of the words came out in roughly the right order.
 
So... no reply from William Hill. Just had calls from the Echo and a national paper journalist to talk to me about the finalisation of the story...

My condolences to you Qwerty, and to you as well Tom. Never a good time to lose your loved ones, but before Christmas is particularly hard to deal with. Best wishes guys.

Push as hard as you can, mate. It's all in your court. Good cause, betting shop pledges money, doesn't deliver. There's not a weakness there, as far as you're concerned.
 
Anyone ever had a guy come in to put more aerial points in other rooms? plus wire it up. Just want to know the round about price.

One of the guys involved (there's 20 of us - all ignored and all our charities denied the funds), is pretty connected with Crystal Palace (he runs a big fan site) and had nominated his fee to go to the CPFC Study Centre for the disadvantaged, so he's got in touch with the chairman, who he actually knows, because William Hill are a club sponsor.

How many papers are taking the story?
 
This is where someone from the top just slams heads together and it is dealt with. The ones lower down are told off...when they probably didn't have the power to pay twice (if the previous payment has just gone into the ether).
