Saints fan misses Golf Putt https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blog...tion-to-missed-putt-goes-viral-074108000.html
Tom - I had my grandmother's funeral today as well. A difficult experience but good to be there for one's family I think. Oldest grandson curse - I had to read at it. I think most of the words came out in roughly the right order.
How ironic ( I do feel for the poor bowler ) but look at the sponsor...... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/30371699
So... no reply from William Hill. Just had calls from the Echo and a national paper journalist to talk to me about the finalisation of the story...
My condolences to you Qwerty, and to you as well Tom. Never a good time to lose your loved ones, but before Christmas is particularly hard to deal with. Best wishes guys.
Just off the phone from the Southend Echo. They've taken a photo also, and are printing the story. Contacting WH for their comment and it's going in tomorrow. Not heard again from the Southern Daily Echo, as of yet.
Push as hard as you can, mate. It's all in your court. Good cause, betting shop pledges money, doesn't deliver. There's not a weakness there, as far as you're concerned.
How about this factoid for obscurity, DTLW..? Houston Dynamo appoint Owen Coyle as Head Coach. What a scoop..!
Anyone ever had a guy come in to put more aerial points in other rooms? plus wire it up. Just want to know the round about price.
They'll charge you a mint, Beefy. I would. Well, perhaps not you. Seriously though, do it yourself. It's not difficult.
Beware anyone who tells you this...what it means is...if you know what I know it is not difficult, but you will probably burn down your house and be hospitalised.
One of the guys involved (there's 20 of us - all ignored and all our charities denied the funds), is pretty connected with Crystal Palace (he runs a big fan site) and had nominated his fee to go to the CPFC Study Centre for the disadvantaged, so he's got in touch with the chairman, who he actually knows, because William Hill are a club sponsor.
This is where someone from the top just slams heads together and it is dealt with. The ones lower down are told off...when they probably didn't have the power to pay twice (if the previous payment has just gone into the ether).
So far, Southend Echo and Croydon Advertiser for sure. Southern Daily Echo looking into it. Crook trying to sell the story to the Daily Mirror.
