"Chico was a prat the way he rolled about, dived and cheated. If you enjoy that sort of sportsmanship, go and watch La Liga. I find it pathetic. " Surely if you believe your comment it wouldn't matter how good he was.
Yes the HB was before the foul. If the ref had done his job properly then we should have had a free kick before it got to Fab. But isnt that just another piss poor desicion, which seems to be the case for us this season.
You and anyone else that sprouts garbage valley about past players , especially ones that played as hard as Chico did for the club , will get the same answere you ungrateful ....ill leave it at that .
Id personally appeal the red card. The handball was prior, and although it may not have made any difference, it also may have made a difference. All Fab had to do was touch the ball enough which he may have done, we will never know, I would be very surprised if it was not overturned, as the foul had been committed by Sahko before contact with Fab.
It wasn't a penalty and therefore not a sending off. Don't care how bad we were playing at the time - we may still have gone on to win that game with the full complement.
Big Sam must have been having another laugh , be it under his breath , when Carroll dove to get Sissoko chucked from their game with Newcastle .Valley will probably go to bat for Carroll though. And valley , as soon as 7 million £ Fernandez is able to get by El Cheapo CB's Amat and Bartley for another start , we'll see how he compares to what 1.5 million £ Chico was able to do for us ...until then , i'd keep my mouth shut on the Chico vs Fernandez comparisons ...know what I mean.
View attachment 34345 Just a bad day at the office ? Don`t worry there`s plenty more good wins to come !
Can't argue with that. Fernandez is good and will improve but Chico was a special player - Fernandez does have a bit of a history with injuries (averaging 19 games a season) so it's just as well we have Bartley (also not unknown to the medical room) and Amat. (Chico c30 games a season and Ash c40)
Chico was a great player for us, yes he had his downsides with his acting, but as a defender, he was the best we had. Even Williams has his flaws, such as his ability to put others under pressure with horrible short passes. He did it enough today. Bony is also one of our best, yet he can be a bit "soft" when tackled and go down a bit easily, will you condemn him for taking a tumble Valley?
Chico is gone. Move along. Laudrup is gone. Move Along. Appalling referee decisions are here to stay and therefore affect our footballing future.
TBF Laudrup was only mentioned in order to attack Chico who was mentioned in context with Andy Carroll - reasonable. Today had nothing to do with bad refereeing decisions - having seen replays we were lucky not to have two penalties given against us (Jazz HB & Bartley pushing).
People sh't all over Chico and Past managers and its excepted but try to defend them and were told to move on . Tell the big, ungratefull mouthpieces to move on and neither name will probably come up.I dont need anyone to respect past players and managers , disrespecting them and their contributions is where I draw the line
