Chico was an embarrassment the way he cheated and dived and rolled on the floor. But if you like that sort of attitude in a player hey ho.
I was sitting right behind the Fab's goal. I thought the defender handled the ball not him. I was surprised he was given the card. Waiting tho see the replays later tonight. Today was a bit of a mess all round. Ki was often competing for high balls down the center of the field against Carroll and did enough to either win them or put Carroll off - but nobody was going hunting for the second ball. Bony was huge ... our best defender by a miile against Carroll. Credit to West Ham - they pressed us high continually throughout the game. We could never settle and we showed none of our usual composure and committment. West Ham players basically won most challenges. Many of our players were moving as if they didn't want the ball.
Our goal was a lovely piece of work. We cut through them like they were nothing. If we could have been more proficient in winning the ball in midfield and at the back and showed more shape going forward we could have caused them real problems. Defensively, especially in the first half in and around their box West Ham were not looking confident at all.
Best side won on the day ...no complaints and well played Carrol for his two goals and bad luck to bony for hitting the post for his second....cant win them all..
Playing britton upset the flow and ki has to go back and run the engine room like he has done all season to good effect. Leon should be on the bench and used in emergencies only...
If Carroll hit Chico with that elbow last season 4 inches or so lower , there would have been a criminal case against Catroll .And your an embarressment valley for your treatment of Chico while he was here and after he left. Look on the bright side though valley , your werent the only arse .hole to do it
Chico was a prat the way he rolled about, dived and cheated. If you enjoy that sort of sportsmanship, go and watch La Liga. I find it pathetic. We can moan about Carroll's elbow, quite frankly, rather than dive and cheat, why not give him some of his own medicine
Risky. There was contact and there was no one behind Fabianski. Not sure if the hand ball would make any difference in an appeal. Really stupid move by Fabialski.
Chico was brilliant for us and no more of an embarrassment than many other players, he would give 100% to the team...
I ignored the first taunt but as you are in WUM mood. I acknowledged he was OTT - it must have been on three occasion during the season. If you can't see he was an outstanding central defender and did a fantastic job for the Swans then perhaps you should be supporting your second team. Did they get a point against Rotherham yesterday? Today was like someone offering to be shafted up the rear by the school bully to avoid giving a blow job.
I'm only thinking on the point of the hand ball, as it should have been our free kick? depends on if it's clear on the video replay, though it could be risky given the way things are currently.............
Bloody hell Bob, he wasn't that good. Quite frankly Amat and Fernandez have been better than what he was last season.
I haven't seen the replays, was the HB before the contact? If so, appeal. Just been reminded the ref may say the action was violent conduct and the red would stand even if he had handled.
I do not know why we are talking of Chico, yes he could defend very well, but he could also be a liability, which he proved more than once last season, maybe it's the Hammers factor that we are talking about Chico, but Big Sam didn't half laugh at him rolling around as if he had been shot, but I did enjoy Carol being sent off too.................
