With the height in the WH defence why are we lumping the ball into the penalty area? Take off a defender (even though he's played poorly) for a winger and guess what happens. 'Monk the magnificent' - give me a break! Not today it's not. Poor set up, weak performance, insane substitutions.
This has to be the worst season ever for incorrect refereeing decisions. Man City got a penalty yesterday that was never a penalty as well.
We never deserved anything fron this game anyways .Not much of a whinger about manager subs as a general rule , but bringing Dyer on with 5 to play seems senseless , especially with the mark Dyer left subbing last game with a bit more time .
Say what you want about any of the players or management, the biggest effect on todays match has been the incorrect decision with the West Ham goal. END OF.
How many times does sort of thing happen to us.... radio commentary sounds as if Carroll using his elbows repeatedly but ref not looking. Another disappoint after a good start, seem to have lost the ability to hold onto possession!
poor decisions all over the park, from players, ref and manager. we hardly had any control over the ball and I hate to say it but it looked like West Ham wanted it more which is criminal. very poor and very worrying that we cant hold onto a lead
We were bossed most of that game, couldn't match West Hams physicality, and gave away the ball cheaply all game which didn't help matters, Rangel was very poor, and seems to be fading fast, we are in serious need of a RB in the transfer window, Rangel has been a good servant for us, but his days look very numbered now!................ Did Monk get anything right today?
Just watched the game, Defensivly, Williams and Rangel were utter crap. Willaims made so many errors it was a joke. Rangel with his worst ever performance in a Swans shirt. His jump for the WHU first goal was pathetic, a bit more effort and it could have put Carroll off, may not have, but the half arsed attempt was shocking. Hardly played a pass correctly, not helped by Routledge being just as crap today. How the hell he took off Montero yet persisted with Routs is beyond me, Montero isn't defensive minded, but he was our only attacking threat from midfield. The game also seemed to be screaming for Shelvey too play, they were all over us strength wise, and Shelvey could have added that bit of grit, although in fairness I thought both Ki and Britton played well. Feel sorry for Fabianski, as Williams for me was at fault for the red card, he started out in-between Sahko and Fabianski, but he done some sort of ****ed up skip and lost ground allowing Sahko to breeze past him and left Fabianski in no mans land. All in all we didn't deserve to win, we were not good enough on the day, but its a shame as thought there were some good performaces in there, just let down by mistakes from others. Thought Jazz done very well, albeit made the odd mistake, but noting too bad. Bartley did well again bar a few odd mistakes. Bony was a hinderance throughout and the ref blew every-time he breathed on Reid. A baby could knock Reid over ffs. Oh and what the **** was going on with the marking today, both Carroll goals, no-one anywhere ****ing near him, he is their best asset in the air, yet unmarked both ****ing times.
Fab – 4 (stupid action for the penalty and rooted to the spot for the first goal) Rangel – 5 (poor game from Mr Reliable) Bartley -6 (couldn’t work out Carroll at all) Ash – 6 (not in control and some poor passing) Jazz – 7 (some miss placed passes but strong in the tackle, a lot more effective in the second half when he positioned himself nearer the touch line) Leon – 6 (outplayed but had no support to allow sharp passing) Routs – 4 (awful) Ki – 6 (tried hard but not given enough support) Siggy – 6 (ran his heart out but didn’t get close enough to the ball to be effective) Montero – 4 (apart for the assist did almost nothing) Bony– 7 ½ MoM (great goal, maybe should have had two more – outstanding defending Gomis – (did he touch the ball?) Tremmell – (one very good save and a couple off putting positional plays.) Dyer – (didn’t get much chance to shine and didn’t) Monk – 4 (once again we started on the back foot and invited WH to attack, again waited for events to dictate his substitutions, once again when we had possession we threw it away in an attempt to be direct, once again waited to go a goal down – and a player down - before taking the game to WHU. Rangel was clearly way out of his depth ands should have been subbed at half time. ) Has the loss annoyed me? Yes, but TBF West Ham are good at home and we are relegation standard) but it is acceptable even though we could have been much closer if chances had been taken. Has the performance annoyed me? To an extent, as we could have given them more of a game had we bee patient and played our possession game, and not tried to forced an attack every time we had the ball. Then what has seriously hacked me off? The predictability of the performance, the expectation that this post will be ridiculed, the accusations of net being a true Swans fan because I don’t bow down to the glorious master’s success, I will read Shelvey should have played – no he shouldn’t it was crying out for Carroll’s quick slick passing not a second rate Andy Carroll, reading how great a squad we have compared to last year and the full knowledge that when we play Hull we will do exactly the same.
