Fair points. In any case, we’re facing the wall Pochettino has been beating his head against all year: a team we tend to finish above at home. Take these games away and we’re doing fine, but we just keep making the same mistakes, which are worse because everyone on here, it seems, knows what they are: too little width, too slow a buildup and far too much willingness to expose our back line. We need to quit pressing in the area between the edge of their box and the halfway line, I think. That’s where the press is far more likely to give them an easy goal than to get us one.
I don't care if we lose, which is what most of us are probably expecting in any event; I simply want to see that (a) Poch has some kind of plan, and (b) the players are intelligent and motivated enough to put that plan into practice. At the moment, we look like an utter shambles, from top to bottom. Never before have I seen such a disparity between us and the top team.
How can they be out of date? I've only just made those comments? Or, do you mean that I'm repeating the comments that someone else has made, and, therefore, I am, effectively, agreeing with them?
That is a huge statement. There have been many many times that the disparity between us and the top has been greater. It seems worse at the moment because for a few recent (Modric, Bale, Harry etc) years we have closed that gap. I have seen some very poor teams turn out for Spurs. And if we are "an utter shambles", what does that make the 10 teams below us in the league? And the table is so compressed a couple of wins puts you in the top four. And apparently you "don't care" if we lose. So do you actually want us to win?
Lloris (c), Dier, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies; Lamela, Bentaleb, Mason, Eriksen; Kane, Soldado Subs: Vorm, Kaboul, Rose, Lennon, Paulinho, Stambouli, Chadli Chiriches and Naughton have knocks and Adebayor either has a virus or is cursed.
I’ve got to say I’m disappointed it’s a lineup promising no width. Well, at least there are two strikers. COYS!
I know, let's play a game. It goes like this... I'll write a critique of the team, and you can, then, make some personal insults against me, and the mods can continue to turn a blind eye to it until, when I finally explode and give you some of your medicine back, they'll threat to ban me from this board (which is what one of them has already done). Here goes. My turn, first. This team is a shambles. Poch hasn't got a clue. Levy is incompetent. Right, now it's your turn.
Walker's not fit, Naughton and Chiriches are both out with knocks and now Dier needs treatment after 2 minutes.
So, you think it's okay to have a personal pop at people for doing nothing more than daring to hold an opinion that isn't your own? Sorry, but it cannot be acceptable for anyone to insult another. I don't mind if they insult me, provided you don't threaten to ban me from this board when I dish it back. What galls me is that it seems to be okay for people to have a pop at me but not for me to have a pop back. Next time someone decides to have a crack, I've got free reign to let rip, yeah? In return, I won't complain about having a "persecution complex." Do we have a deal?
Who insulted you? You certainly didn't PM anyone pointing it out, preferring to tell everyone to **** off, instead. That's why you were warned about your behaviour, not for anything else. A match thread isn't the place for this discussion though, so take it elsewhere if that's what you want to do.
India - you noticed Ace Player crashing a lot last few months? Just updated it but still crashing. I did all the stuff recommended to optimize buffering a while back. Maybe that's it.
I tell you what, I'll do you a favour. I won't bother to post on this board again. Bye all. That's me done. If you want to have some banter you'll find me over on the Prem League board.
