I couldn't get bloodzeed working on acestream earlier. It never crashes. I've downloaded the latest version (v3.0.4) and I'll install it at half time.
What a bloody awful start. No width or pace, again. Why leave Lennon out after his introduction changed that? Ledley misses a very good chance and we're struggling to create anything or deal with their wingers.
Very good save by Lloris, but that shows the way that the game is going. We've got a little better since the slow start, but our defending's extremely ragged. No protection for our fullbacks, again.
That Bolasie is tricky every time I see him play..lets stay well clear of him and allow him to prosper at Palace.
Decent Eriksen free-kick and a decent save by Speroni. Soldado misses another good chance. No idea why Pochettino keeps going with Eriksen and Lamela out wide. Amplifies the narrowness and leaves our defence utterly exposed to widemen.
due to their skill factor? he wants skillfull wide men? however with these two in particular we sacrifice pace...if they had that then they could run the wing and cut in..and that's MP's ultimate goal? we are a work in progress?
Cutting in is fine as an option, but not when it's the only option. I like both Eriksen and Lamela but this system isn't getting the best out of either of them. The way that Palace have set up was always going to present problems for it, too.
How many times in this half has Lamela got the ball out wide on the right, done a stepover, cut inside and either immediately lost the ball or messed up the pass? 10, maybe? Ridiculous offside against him there, though. He's about 2 yards on.
I agree with you..but I think its a case of the manager will make the system work..as oppose to playing to players strengths.....for that we are going to suffer in the foreseeable future.
That was rubbish. Nothing learned from the last home game at all. Not enough pressure or hard work when we're not in possession, no width, no pace or movement and no sharpness. Lennon for Lamela at HT, please. Won't happen, unfortunately.
The only good thing is that Arsenal are 3-0 down at HT to Stoke. Gives them time to come back, though. They'll be fuming.
I'm watching some delightful American punditry and it's quite funny hearing someone trying to make points about games when he's being drowned out by middle of the road, chugging rock music. It's like they hired the guy that did the soundtrack for Sons of Anarchy and he forgot which job he was doing.
Back to square 1.... Generally awful so far and some easy reasons to see why. Palace are faster and more committed and more creative. Poch drops an experienced English winger who has made a decent positive difference since coming back in - and plays a listless, misfiring Argentinian....... I wonder if he would have done the same had the positions been reversed?
