Both sides playing the media over this.

Leaked stories from Gerrards side over the weekend about him considering a move abroad if he's not offered a new deal, immediately countered by the club saying they're definitely going to make him an offer - thus if he doesn't sign they can point to him wanting more dosh being the real issue.

    Who's going to blink first?

I feel you are right and gerrard wants a two year deal to take him to his zimmer frame. The club have apparently offered one year deal with less money as well!

I think its the length that gerrard is angling off like his old mate carragher.

I see glen johnson is now mouthing off as well so I am hopeful he signs a precontract in january for roma and f's off there with cashley.

  3. 1. how does any one not associated to the club know...?

    2. Would be a great short term signing. Expensive wages too though.

    3. Would love that but it is a ridiculous rumour.

    4. Can't see it happening.

    5. I don't see us signing him now, we've moved on.

    6. Please be true!!!

    7. Expected.

    8. I'd be happy with that.

Could certainly see Cabaye leaving PSG - for us or not I'm not sure. Arsenal would take him surely.

Arsenal have about 7000 cm's so we could offer him a guaranteed starter position compared to them

We should sign that Bertrand from Southampton, he's a good player. :steam:

I'm just kidding and banging on about me saying we should have signed him in the Summer. As much as I like Moreno, Bertrand is probably a better defender but not as good going forward we would also have saved a lot of money going for Bertrand.

  15. I know <doh>

LB is probably our strongest position, in fact there's no probably about it, it is our strongest position! However, both are more attacking FBs so it could be better by swapping Enrique for a more defensive minded player. Flanno can play there though so its still covered :)

Ignore Johnson and get Flanagan fit and RB is also very strong.

If Manquillo stays then him, Flanagan and Wisdom are solid options.

  18. Ignoring Johnson, we have the opposite problem on the right. Mankiller and Flano are both defensive FBs lol

    you what!!!

last year we had no lb at all and now its strongest?

In case you lot missed it enrique is highly injury prone and moreno is a poor enough defender (that ludo goal was him at the near post letting the guy go and get the flick on..)

    FFS.... its not that strong!

RB is as strong if you call flanagan an RB (and not muck) say wisdom is doing well out there and even johnson is thre...

or CB... we do actually have a few.

    LB? we're not that good.

  20. Its easily the strongest position. Moreno and Enrique are both good FBs plus Flanno and Johnson can play there too.

RB is strong as well but I wouldn't say stronger. Flanno and Johnson can be counted on both and Wisdom isn't available to us this season so its Mankiller vs Moreno and Enrique really.

Your claim of CBs being stronger is somewhat laughable IMO Not one of our CBs is top notch despite the money we paid for two of them! Skrtel being our main stay just proves the point further.
