There's been a suggestion for fans to club together to buy a big flag to display at games.

At the moment, it seems to be an amber flag with an image of Steve Bruce, with a logo of "In Bruce we Trust", but it's wide open to suggestion.

A question's arisen over how to collect the money. OLM's offered to assist, either by creating a Not606 account, or by finding out if CTWD wish to be involved. Some have said CTWD's involvement brings other issues in.

There's no suggestion that it would have any message or significance other than pure support for the manager and team.

With that in mind, what do users prefer?

A not606 banner - independent of CTWD

A banner - but with CTWD assistance

Other...

I am not bothered who does it as long as it is organized and displayed probably just before kick off.

Has anyone looked into how long it takes to make?

Other than a quick squint to look at a price, there's been precious little deep thought as yet, but then it only cropped up a few hours back.

I think we need some information and idea on what the club will allow, as that could dictate the size.

Dutch, don't care just build a banner should probably be an option.

Though I would probably say it's best not to have CTWD as an organisation included as it will alienate pro allamists then they'll all be calling for Bruce's head claiming he's some sort of CTWD figurehead

I think it'll just be his head on the flag, so if they call for it, we could just pass them it. <ok>

Good point, i know after the debacle around the name change banner they said something about size.

I'm a CTWD member, but I've voted for an independent Not606 banner purely because of the possibility of people falling out and accusing CTWD of things or trying to hold them responsible for everything.

I think that's perfect in my eyes....

Anyone got anyway of checking on the size the club would allow in?

A quick email to James Mooney would be my starting point. Or maybe John Rose at the SMC?

Anyone know different?

Sounds like a good idea to me.

A specific "Not606" (will the site owners be cool with this?) banner would be cool, but not really arsed either way.

Let me know when & where to send my pounds.

There's something in the premier leagues ground regulations about flags and sizes. Can't be arsed to look myself but it's there for someone who can. There's a good starting point whilst club employees are off work on a Sunday night.

What assistance will CTWD provide? If it's minimal, what's the point? I feel it would cause more problems than benefits.

Just for the record, whatever we decide to do, four of the CTWD gang have responded so far and all are in favour.

It seems popular. Assuming we get approval from the club, there's always the option of more, either along with or after this one, especially as we'll learn from the process. <ok>

I'll check with Mick once we see if the Club are okay with it. I can't imagine he'll grumble at free advertising, especially as it's in his target area of sporting events.
