Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes is struggling with tendinitis and needs a late fitness check, with Jonathan Bond standing by to deputise. Midfielder Almen Abdi (shoulder) could be added to the squad but defender Gabriel Tamas (cruciate) is still out.

Cardiff manager Russell Slade could name an unchanged side as they look for their first away win of the season. Defenders Ben Turner and Matt Connolly could start again although first-choice pair Bruno Manga and Fabio are fit.

Let's see if they press more or whether they are slow and ponderous at the start again.
Also want to see if they set up in a similar formation and if Dyer is near the team.
If I had those facts I could predict with reasonable certainty what the result may be.
I'm going for the team to entertain Graham Taylor on his special day and come out winners :)
 
Cardiff have not scored a goal away from home since September, and some of their fans can see little chance of that changing tomorrow at the Vic. Maybe a better day for our defence? Maybe it will be a good day for us when we can get back on track, another defeat could set doubt about just where the season is going.

Thanks for the thread Mex. Looks as if I will miss the game tomorrow, so might have to use my mobile to keep up-dated with the score. <yikes>
 
Without being over-dramatic, this feels like a 'must-win' to me. Four losses on the trot compared to promotion form is 7-9 points down, and think what a difference those 7-9 points would make at the end of the season. At least if we get 3 tomorrow the bad run won't feel like a complete disaster in November. Need to go out all guns blazing 3-1.

Enjoy the game, Yorkshire. I'm sure Mlle will be 12th man and see us through to victory.

My mistake, ccfc4ever, I thought from your name you were a Cov fan. ;)

I fancy us to win, but I think it will be ugly, edgy 2-1, with a late, undeserved final Hornet goal to make it a squeaky 3-1. I think the Bluebirds will score first, too.
