It reminds me of the Stamford Bridge pitch from the time before they finally sorted it out. That used to be a swamp at times over the years.

BTW, Clyne is starting to stamp his mark in the England game. Drury and Pleast going on about Southampton providing players for England these days.

Rooney just demonstrating once again that he's just a very good player, not a world beater.

The number of times I've looked at missed shots like Rooney's and Sterling's and thought that Saints' players rarely miss as spectacularly...we can at least put them close.

Oh shut up, David Pleat. Clyne knows exactly what he's doing.

F****** hell, Bobby Charlton isn't satisfied with just his own wife. He's got Trevor Brooking's wife on the side. <laugh>

Well yeah, exactly. Still one of England's best players. We don't currently have anyone truly world class.

Henderson did apparently. There was a scream, that was attributed to Henderson, anyhow.

    I agree with Danny Mills:
"I want England to man up a bit, have a go and show some character.
"It's laboured, slow, it's obvious what we're going to do and easy to play against. I hope they change things at half-time. The pitch isn't brilliant but it's no excuse."

Nat Clyne hasn't put a foot wrong. The camera left him running into defence, and then England suddenly attacked and there he was right up there making himself an option. He must have sprinted something like 40 yards.
